After a cold reception we have been directed to a side room with a similar atmosphere. But the food was good and very fairly priced all with a very nice service. To be experienced for a very good test of French food. Just request the main dinning room.

We had just arrived, jet-lagged and tired in Amiens for a Christmas vacation. We ended up a Jules and were satisfied, if not wowed. The reception was polite if not warm, and the food was solid, though not spectacular. What was clear, though, was that it is a local favorite, and for those who have not had ficelle Picard (local... The food is very good but the wait for getting our aperitif was a bit long. Also my food was cold-ish. So I guess we were just unlucky, the menu of the restaurant looks very good

I'm glad I went with the good reviews. The food is fabulous, up there with the best I've eaten - and I've eaten at the best places around the world. The foie gras is superb. The trio of meat is delicious and the fries really are really to die for. My mum had the trio of fish and was delighted... More

Best French fries ever, and mountains of them. I had trio of meats, pork was super tender. Good steak frites as well. Simon spoke English and I appreciate that as my French is terrible

So decided to eat in brasserie Jules due to the lack of restaurants open on a Sunday. Was a bit dubious with the hit n miss reviews but thought we would try it anyway. Food was ok not amazing and at 22€ was lacking something other then just being serviced up on a block of wood with a pile of... More

I went there with my sister. The wine was very good (we had the riesling d'alsace). I had risotto with Lotte and mushrooms. For me it was too heavy with cream (but I guess that's personal taste). My sister had a salad. She got pretty much food, but there was too much sauce (also personal taste I guess). The staff... More

Visited here after a recommendation but was rather disappointed. For such a large place everyone was seated too close together. Apart from our wine waiter i found staff to be rather rude. Our jackets were not taken away when we were seated so had to keep them on seat beside us. Then they tried to seat someone so close to... More

We had driven down to Amiens for a midweek, out of season break, and we wanted, as we so often do when we come to France somewhere that stood up, waved its arms about and shouted, really loudly, 'We are so French that we serve really local dishes that we are so proud of and we really want you to... I had the mixed meat assortment which had rump steak, duck, pork pluma, served with French fries and pepper sauce. The pepper sauce was out of this world as was the Duck. The duck was the best I have ever eaten with the other meats cooked perfectly. The prices are reasonable until you start on the wine(s).
