This little restaurant is one of the trendy places to eat in Saintes. Only open till around 5pm it offers an excellent lunch for a small price. Eat outside when the weather is suitable. Friendly service. Sociable clientele. Try it.

I have eaten here numerous times over the last year or so. The service is always friendly and cheerful. I have never been disappointed with the food, and sometimes eaten dishes which would have graced much more expensive restaurants. Overall excellent value for money. One of my favourite haunts in Saintes.

We stumbled across Le P'tit Bacchus when we arrived in Saintes in the rain. It seemed to be the only place open so we ventured in. Very pleased we did. Nice little restaurant with a reasonable menu. We decided to go for the salad rather than the fixed price menu. Mine was grilled goats cheese on french bread, my husband... More

Yet another really good discovery during our 2 week stay in Charente-Maritime, where we were joined for one week by two friends. Le P'tit is outside of the town centre of Saintes and there is a very convenient public car park opposite. Le P'tit was busy when we parked, a good sign generally speaking and this proved to be the... More

From the welcome by "Johnny Wilkinson" to the end of the meal 2 hours later was an experience not to be missed. Not a Michelin starred restaurant but greatly enjoyed by all our party and by my son and his wife who went after our recommendation. Best recommendation was the place was full of locals.

As pointed out by other reviewers. it's a great place full of bonhomie and the host does speak plenty of languages (even Kiwi....un peu ) & loves his rugby.... Not haute cuisine but good solid tucker & value. Recommended when visiting Saintes...which is a wonderful town FULL of history & charm. would return

We had lunch here one cold day and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome of the owner. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left he was full of bonhomie. The menu was simple, 2 choices of each course but this makes life much easier. We all opted for the egg starter which came on a... More

Greated by Philip Bacchus, we sat down and enjoyed a very long and leisurely lunch. Food was excellent - 14 Euros for a 2, or 19 for 3 courses. His hosting was superb, and the rose top notch. Clearly a big rugby fan and had a few items of memorabilia. Definitely a favourite with the locals. If you are visiting... More
