A great dining experience is the cumulative effort of lots of things all done brilliantly. It goes beyond food, which itself was simply tremendous, which at mezzanine is taking a fondue with most amazing cheese and serve it in a carved out bread. Add an...assortment of incredible meat cuts, casually accompanied with a red wine that is as good as I have tasted all served by the team that clearly take great pride in what they do. Overall brilliant, and a massive thank you.More

Absolutely fantastic experience!! We visited in February half-term as a family and we truly loved this place!! From the warm welcome from the staff to the shot of house schnapps as we left, it could not have been more perfect! The ambience is lovely, loved...the wood everywhere, cosy, romantic, cute! The food was to die for!! Our daughter had the kids' steak and potatoes and my husband and I shared the fondue and we chose the charcuterie and veg to accompany it and it was awesome!! Loved the bread bowl it came in, the bread was also delicious, it was all delicious! I also found a new favourite wine which I would totally recommend, the Mondeuse. Totally great experience and we would definitely return in a heart beat!! RECOMMEND HIGHLY!More

Very good ambience. Mirrored walls make it look twice the size. Very friendly staff. The fondue classic was a big disappointment. I suspect it had been standing too long in the kitchen in the hollowed out bread. When it arrived at the table it was...not hot and had separated - very liquid at the top and a solid lump of cheese goo at the bottom. No amount of stirring helped. We initially thought that it was us not stirring enough, but then we saw the other tables receiving steaming, creamy fondues like it's meant to be. We told the waitress we had not been happy and she just said " sorry for that".More

This was not a good experience. Their ‘sharing’ starters are not big enough for more than one person, so I’m not sure why they are labelled as such. Our waitress actually dissuaded us from ordering more, so we ended up with a couple of mouthfuls...each. We then waited nearly an hour for someone to clear our starter plates. In fact we were just about to walk out. There was no bread offered, something I’ve never known in a French restaurant. When the mains finally arrived, we asked for extra vegetables, which never arrived. No one seemed to show any interest. There was no checking on us, asking if everything was okay. The food was fine, but paying all that money to feel like an inconvenience is not my idea of enjoyable. The evening before we’d gone to Neige et Roc and wished we’d just gone back there instead. It was wonderful.More

First time here - booked in advance and warm welcome and lovely table upstairs. Service was good and not rushed in any way . As a non cheese fanatic , slightly disappointed that main course choices were slightly limited - the veal and pasta dishes...were fine but not wow. Everyone enjoyed their visit and am sure we may return on a future visit.More

If you are looking for fondue this is the place to go. We on the other hand picked alternative meals which were very tasty, especially the veal stew. This isn't the place to go if you are in a rush, service is purposely spread out...so you can enjoy your evening. Beer is well priced for a restaurant and the cocktails are excellent. Normal decent restaurant prices. Book early as they are usually fully booked if you turn up on the night. Decor is traditional wood chalet style.More

We ate here for dinner one evening after skiing. We had a selection of starters and the hot stone with meat for our main meal. The starters were nice and we shared them between us. The main was ‘self cook’ the hot stone was placed...on the table and covered in salt. We personally found it to be far too much salt. We ended up scrapping it off to cook our meet, as otherwise it’s far too salty for us. Look there is a pleasant atmosphere, the food was ok, a little limited depending on what you eat, and take into account you cook it yourself. Probably wouldn’t eat here again as it was quite pricey, but it was worth trying and by no way a bad meal.More

Since our last visit, additional dishes have been added to the menu. Nonetheless, for a non-cheese eater, choices are still limited and the prices charged for the hot stone for the amount of food provided are much more than other similar restaurants locally. Booking is...on-line only, which is not inclusive. We were welcomed and looked after pleasantly. I do not feel that this is the best restaurant in Samoens.More

Amazing food, hospitality and atmosphere. Local wine, great customer service and the best experience for the teens cooking on the hot stone. A great meal to end an amazing holiday.

We were a large group visiting and were made very welcome by the staff. Some of us chose the fondue and we were given a goody bag of one that was not finished. Others had raclette which was equally delicious. Attentive service, lovely atmosphere. Would...highly recommend.More

Ate here the first night of our week in Samoen and liked it so much that we ended up eating there 2 more times. First time we are outside then inside the next 2 times so that we could have the hot stone which was...fab. Really excellent quality steak, duck & veal to cook yourself plus the most amazing fries! Welcoming and charming team, lovely atmosphere- you will need to book!More
