Located in Happy Valley beside Lara's Gondola, at Big White Ski Resort. We came here for someone's birthday dinner and did enjoy the very limited food available to us, despite being completely surrounded by meat! Very few options for vegetarians/vegans and nothing that could really be adapted for us. Would be nice if they offered a couple more vege/vegan options,... More

The hostess and our server were very nice but slow, forgetful and our meals came out overcooked. I'm sure this was not due to them sitting, and waiting under plate warmers, to be picked up. The chef is responsible for getting a steak to the customer while it is still medium rare.

A party of 6. The main courses were lovely. The short rib special was really good, the prime rib was rare and tasty, the sable fish was delicious. On the downside the fresh horseradish with the prime rib had no heat. Great wine list. Desserts the creme brûlée was very good. The baked Alaska was ok and the crepe Suzette... More

We almost walked out as soon as we walked in. But we're glad we stayed! You have to get past the fact that this is a steakhouse plunked down inside a cavernous ski lodge. So the intimacy and elegant touches you expect from a fine dining establishment are severely lacking here. The bar, with its towering wine racks, is the... More

Spent a fabulous spring break week in Big White with the family. Randomly chose Kettle Valley Steakhouse... Wow, great service, impressive menu and local wine list. Started with some BC oysters, small sweet and delicious and then we shared the Tomahawk, a MUST, best steak ever! These guys know their business.

We hosted an afternoon family gathering at the Kettle Valley Steakhouse. We had a catered spread of appetizers at the harvest table. Everyone on staff was super helpful, and everything flowed very smoothly for our event, thanks to them. Everything surpassed my expectations – super happy we chose to host our gathering with them.

I have some food allergies/intolerances so always a little leery of eating out. I gave server my list and she assured me no problem. And it wasn't! Delicious steak, steamed vegetables and fingerling potatoes. I don't expect to be able to have dessert when eating out due to my gluten free, dairy free, etc diet. I was served homemade lemon... We always save coming here for our last meal of the trip and it has never disappointed. This year we too a leap and did the blind trust tasting menu. We were transported. We started with an amuse bouche of lamb and pickled pepper curustini, then Oysters three ways including Rockefeller. Next was foie gras then a generous crabcake, which... More

Our first experience of eating out at Big White was at the Kettle Valley Steakhouse on our first night. We took the gondola down to the restaurant and were warmly greeted and seated in an area which, truth be told, didn't have that much ambience. The restaurant wasn't busy so we were promptly served with our main courses. Service was... More

This is supposed to be a more up market establishment ,but some of the staff need a lesson on appropriate dress for a 4/5 star restaurant, start with the manager? Anyway the food was pretty good ,got a nice $70 bottle of wine (which we had to serve ourselves) .Will be trying 6 degrees, its privately owned!!!

Nestled into the Happy Valley Day Lodge at the bottom of the Lara's Gondola, The Kettle Valley Steakhouse is an upscale oasis for fine hospitality, great steaks and an extensive Okanagan wine list. A great steakhouse starts with its beef and we have made the commitment to use only the best Certified Angus Beef and has been aged a minimum of 28 days. To accompany the world class beef program, the seafood selection conforms to Oceanwise certifications for its sustainability to ensure that it is not only the freshest and of the highest quality, but it is also responsibly managed and farmed. An easy match with all the food offerings is our Okanagan-centric wine list with a strong focus on the varietals that are proving to be world beaters like award winning Pinot Noir and Syrah. We are fortunate to have a burgeoning wine industry with an ever increasing supply of fantastic wines that showcase special terroir of the Okanagan Valley.
