Though we try not to dine twice in the same place we liked the food on the first night so much, that we decided to make an exception and dine at the hotel on the second evening . The second night was just as good as the first one. The fish, the schnitzel , the ragout were fantastic as well... More

This restaurant is about 100m down the hill from our Pension. We walked in an were greeted by a waitress in traditional dress. We were shown to our tables and when they realised we were English gave us a comprehensive menu in English (not the complete menu though). We were given a salad starter accompanied with bread and herb butter.... More

Have been here many times.Generally excellent food and service. Probably my favourite restaurant of this type in Deutschland. Did however have an annoying response from (the owner's daughter no less!) on Saturday night when (after not having been greeted by the new waitress as we walked in - Rule No. 1 I would have thought) I was not satisfied with... We had a great time. Two of us had the mushroom soup and it was very delicate and yummy and the other two shared the salad with goat cheese which was great. Then for main courses we had the Wiener schnitzel, a steak and the salmon, all really good. We wanted to have the cheese strudel if i'm not mistaken... More

Adler Bärental took a significant forward as regards the quality of its dining experience about 3 years ago. Since that time it has maintained a very good standard with a good balance between price, food ambience and service. Menu is typical Schwarzwälder cuisine. It holds its position as the best option in the Bärental area, including down the hill towards... More

We stopped here for a rest and had kaffee und Kuchen. One was a rhubarb with marzipan and the other apfel strudel. The rhubarb was really heavy with the marzipan but I didn't check it out before ordering. All in all, very delicious though. I liked seeing someone wearing dirndls finally. Wish more people would.

Great food, great service, perfect evening. It's not a "classic" restaurant, all is prepared a bit finer. We will return. That's shure.

This place is a bit expensive, but the staff are very friendly and spoke English very well which was helpful. My husband and I shared a few things just so we could sample the menu. We started with the smoked trout. It was recommended as a local specialty and was delicious. Afterwards, we enjoyed the creme brûlée, also very enjoyable.... More

Went there for an evening meal with family and this was a wonderful place to eat local specialties like venison or goose. We were very happy alround, friendly service, good food, lovely wine, traditional ambience. The only draw back was maybe that they didn't have a menu card in English, but we travel to learn!
