According to TripAdvisor reviews, Dragseths is the second-best restaurant in Husum - I surely hope that this is NOT true: It is absolutely nothing special!!! Food is reasonably tasty and well prepared, but nothing has been done to make it appear deliciously: Meat is literally...thrown on top of a pile of randomly selected vegetables. But prices are fair - and the portions are large. The restaurant claims to be the oldest restaurant in town, and from the outside it appears very cozy - but it is not... In this nice old building, they have every chance of making it inviting and cozy, but instead they furnish the room making it as cozy as an Ikea cafeteria! Staff was a bit distant and inattentive.More

Visited last night on the basis of trip advisor reviews. Beautiful spot close to the harbour. The building is centuries old and has a lot of charm though it is now a restaurant not a pub. Serves good beer though. The waiter was a friendly,...busy and hard working chap who spoke English and immediately produced a menu in English. Have to say it was the best meal I’ve had in Germany, started with fish soup, lumps of cod, mussels and shrimps, it was delicious. For main I had the Husum Fish Platter. A generous serving of pan fried cod, pollack and sole, with kartoffen which is fried potatoes with onions, little cubes of bacon and pepper. Also came with a generous mixed salad. The fish was beautifully cooked and served with a very tasty sauce. Highly recommend it. Since I was on a roll I went for the panacotta dessert with strawberry sauce and it was excellent too. With 2 beers the bill came to 43 euros, a bit pricey but worth the money. Could have sat outside in the front or in a beautiful little courtyard at the back but plumped for the main dining room.More

The food was delicious. I traveled all the way from Texas, USA, and plan to return here when I visit Husum again.

Nice restaurant near to old port of Husum, offering a very interesting menu based on local fish specialities. Good quality of food, tasted different kind of fishes as appetizers and main courses. Price aligned to other fish restaurants in the area, service is quite good...as well.More

A fantastic evening in a welcoming environment. Great food. Some of us weren’t fish eaters. Some of us were vegetarian. We were a very large group of 11 and they couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. All the food was to an excellent standard and...it was a very enjoyable evening. Thoroughly recommend it.More

We sampled some of the local food and the lamb in three servings won by far. It was excellent and I cleaned the plate despite it being a very generous serving. The service was efficient, friendly and very prompt. We were very happy to have...chosen dragseths gasthof for dinner when passing through Husum. Highly recommended!More
