1. Dishonest - aggressive selling, claiming that only locals know this place and that the seafood is cheaper than kk city. We checked with our local Sabah friends afterwards and they say this is an infamous store that likes to charge tourists expensive rates! 2....Poor service ethics. Usually when you eat live seafood, you can ask for price quote before deciding if you want to send the ingredient to cook. We requested for it but they ignored us and just cook it straight away. In fact, they asked us to go back to our table and wait for them to come serve us. The next thing we know, the food are all cooked and served. 3. Very Overpriced The lobster is 600 ringgit for 1.4kg weight & 200 ringgit for 1.2kg which is consider very overpriced. There’s this sea grape vegetable that they will recommend you as the signature local dish as well. That alone is a 400% whopping price markup from original price outside. Overall taste for the seafood is fresh and okay but for the price u gonna pay for? I will give it a hard pass. We hope this review would reach out to anyone have the intention to visit here, please do take note of what you would be getting yourselves into. We will not visit this place again and definitely will not recommend to anyone.More

My family and I had one of the worst meals ever experienced in this restaurant - despite our high hopes upon arrival as the setting was lovely. We were soon to be disappointed beyond belief by the extremely poor quality of the food served -...overcooked fish and seafood. In addition it was shockingly expensive!!More

We have visitors from the States to join us for dinner. We ordered many varieties of seafood but their organic vegetables have limited choices. Good food good company and nice atmosphere.

We stayed at Shangri-La rasa ria and got the hotel taxi to Eco Farm 80 MYR (£15) return and the driver waits while you eat. To be honest the Eco Farm was average and that was about it. The seafood has to be chosen from...a large display board which states the price and weight in kilos which is a bit weird and not necessary and a little confusing. The fish and shellfish are all in tanks ready to be selected and then you have to choose all of your other additional bits and pieces such as veg and rice and beers before you even get near your table......you have no idea of the prices of anything because there is no menu. Everything is then delivered within minutes of you sitting down so it all seems a bit rushed. To be fair the food was nice and well prepared, we had prawns and shell fish with rice and a couple of large tiger beers with a price tag of 230 MYR (£45) which seems a bit pricey for the area and the non existent service. There were loads of staff hanging about but apart from the one who kept topping up our tiny little glasses with Tiger beer, not one came to the table to see if things were ok?, did we need anything else, do we want more drinks or coffee or desert....nothing. We also went to see the sunset at Eco Farm, but you cannot see the sunset from where you dine because two huts on stilts have been built on the end of a walkway that obscures any vision of the sun going down unless you leave your table and go to the end of the walkway which kind of defeats the object of wanting to watch the sunset while you eat, besides if you are staying at the Rasa Ria I doubt if you could beat the sunset views from there.... lesson learned. Overall I would say it’s not really worth the visit unless you are passing, I’m sure there are other restaurants close by that have better service and are more reasonably priced for the same quality seafood.More

We had dinner here with friends and family and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. The restaurant is out in the company, so dining there puts you in a quiet green setting at the edge of an estuary with the sun shining on the water....They feature fresh fish and vegetables, with fine cooking and good service. Vegetables are grown on the adjacent small farm, with no chemicals and lots of close attention to the small production which is served in the restaurant and some sold to customers. Service was friendly and attentive. We were given a tour of the farm by the kindly Carrot, who is one of the restaurant staff. This is a very fine restaurant that is growing food the right way and serving excellent food to its clientele. Definitely worth the effort to get here and enjoy a quiet meal while looking out to the water and sky.More

It was my first dinner visit to this restaurant for my wife's birthday. The minute I enter this restaurant, the aura and romantic location captivated my heart. When it comes to select the dishes, the choices and suggestions given were acceptable and seeing the fresh...seafood and vegetables served within a few minutes after ordering is really fantastic. The ordered dishes were prepared as expected to the taste buds and accompanied by small waves lapping below our raised platform. I missed the sunset but for sure I'll go again. The huge fan above us kept us in a cool breeze matching the natural breeze from the sea in front and below.More

Right from the reception to the selection of fresh live seafood to the service at the table, it had been a most perfect experience. Alex was most helpful to advise on the best deals and assisted in ensuring that the best seafood were selected from...their tanks. It was supper outing and we were glad to visit Eco Farm for dinner. Will recommend friends visiting KK to dine at Eco Farm. We had the humphead wrasse steamed and it was delightful. The fish was so well steamed to our liking that it impressed both my wife and I. The fresh steamed prawns; clams fried in spring onions with ginger; flower crabs, horn shells (gong gong); kangkong; crab meat fried rice, etc were all very well prepared. Seated by the elevated platform above lapping water, it was really fantastic.More

This was a fabulous dining experience , the restaurant is about 2 miles from the main road but well worth it as when you arrive the place is beautiful. We visited during our 10 night stay at the Rasa hotel resort which is only 10mins...taxi drive . We arrived just before sunset and got some fantastic photos across the water. The complex is fairly new and well set out. Lovely reception area which then opens out to a small bridge to the restaurant. To the left of the bridge you can see all the tanks that hold the fish, prawns and fresh crabs. We were seated at a round table with a lovely view across the bay. We then had to visit the fish and choose our meal, all explained by our waiter on what amount to order and they easily understood about my garlic allergy and cooked everything without it. The menu consists of a wide variety of fish that has been recently caught. All prices are displayed on a big board. Chicken dishes are also available for those that dont like fish, all accompanied by rice and drinks. We ordered a large grouper, 1kg of prawns (70MR) ,2 chicken dishes with vegetables, 2 vegetable dishes and 4 large Tiger beers. The food was delicious and the beer was cold, perfect. The end cost worked out at an amazing £17 per person, excellent value for money. Dont hesitate to visit this lovely place you cannot be disappointed.More

Nice view and environment of the restaurant, only it's location is a bit far off the main road. Yes, Grab car can reach there, but not when you get out from there to hotel. We group of 10pax, the restaurant staff help us to book...a tourist van when we finish dinner, Dish, cook tasty and fresh, especially the prawn, we just steam it. you can even taste the taste of sea with it. But our fish was not fresh, even we pick it live from tank, i think kitchen might change it while cook, So,,, don't pick fish dish. We reach after sunset, but i believe sunset view is awesome there with their building design.More
