Chili Pepper in Moonee Ponds is a must visit if you love quality Vietnamese food. Sharing dinner on a Saturday night with a group of friends, everyone rated it amongst the best Vietnamese food we've eaten. Sampling a variety of starters and mains across chicken, beef and seafood, each dish was absolutely delicious and very flavoursome. Good service from friendly... More

Visited chilli pepper Vietnamese restaurant with family. A lovely little restaurant, food was delicious. Meat was tender and flavoursome. Service was friendly but a little slow. Parking can be a little tricky on this busy road.

The food was good without being outstanding. Everything we ordered was tasty, although not sure I would class this as fine dining. We were sat at our table and then left, after quite a bit of time we had to ask for water and wine glasses. Once the food was delivered, no one came near us for the rest of... More

As a visitor to Melbourne & upon high recommendations from friends & family I ordered a large take away order. Upon pick up I missed my step on the step near the bar (even though it does have a sign on it which is only visible upon entry-----U can see it in the picture on their website) & twisted my... More

Myself and two work mates on a weeknight. Friendly staff, quick service and decent food. A nice change from the usual Asian style restaurants was the popular music playing at a sensible volume instead of the more traditional. Pick of the night was the vegetable spring rolls which were wrapped in a very light bird nest style wrapping and the... More

Had dinner here. Nothing really wrong with it, but not fine dining. Maybe Vietnamese food doesn't need to be fine. One dish was meant to be a sizzling chilli chicken dish. No sizzle and not much chilli, but quite tasty nevertheless. One dish was mixed vegetables in a clay pot. Not meant to be sizzling, but it was...... Happy enough... More

It describes itself as fine Vietnamese cuisine. Nope. None of the above. Entering, there is no smell of cooking. This turns out to be a portent, as the food has no taste. How can a place with that name, with Vietnamese as the cuisine, have more tasteless food than you can get in a supermarket food hall? The tastiest thing... More

Title says it all. Went here for my birthday with a party of 16. Accommodated us without out a problem. Everyone was extremely happy (a couple thought meal sizes a bit small and maybe they are) but in saying that we all enjoyed ourselves. Lovely decor and great atmosphere. Will be back again and again and again and again :)

Visited Chili Pepper after a lengthy absence and I'm very happy to say nothing had changed. Service is attentive but not overly so, food quality and serving size are perfect and price is good. I had Pad Thai with prawns and it was fantastic, would've licked the plate if I could've. Prawns were cooked to perfection. For dessert I tried... More

Buzzy, busy place offering great food and generous portions. Good wine list. Not very easy to find if you're not with a local.
