We happened to leave the Gotland museum at 6pm and wander straight up to the main square. This meant getting the happy hour discount on my Sirloin steak which was amazing and as tender as a fillet but full of flavour. My wife had the fillet and was very happy with her choice. The staff were lovely and helpful. We... More

Quite a busy place when we arrived at 7.00, short wait for our table so sat at the bar. The table we were then offered (outside) was available when we first got there so assumed that it was booked but that they didn't turn up !! Service was fine and the food was very good so all in all an... More

We had three meals here during our visit, and they were all excellent. On the last evening we were by ourselves and sat outside facing the square, which was a delight. Good food, good location, and good service, what more could one ask?

Taken to this restaurant by residents of Visby as it was their favourite place in the Old Town. Surroundings were nice, but perhaps a little dark to see both the menu and food! My wife and I chose steak which I found to be of poor quality for a sirloin. We were given chips to share between 4 people which... More

Walked in with 4 people at 6:30 and got seated immediately. Walked through a number of rooms (big place) evoking several "old pub" themes. Felt like I was in LV Ceasars Palace at times exept--darn, the floor were actually several centuries old! Several of us stuck to the house 3 course Guten Menu and were impressed three times: big serving... More

We ate three course dinner with toast skagen, steak with red wine and bearnice sauce and chocolate dessert. Everything was much better than we expected. It seemed inside much bigger place that it looks outside and I first tought that it's just one tourist trap restaurant. Service was good and suprisingly fast. Portions looked beautifull and taste was pleasant suprise.... More

Me and my girl was looking for a place that offered a menu that felt a bit traditional with lamb or seafood that we assume is a common livestock in Gotland. At our visit they had a menu with lamb and fish for a starter. It was a well cooked meal that was worth it's price. Will definitely consider going... More

Staff seemed to be highly motivated and intererested in our well being. Food was above average. A bit pricy perhaps. The atmosphere compensates for a lot. If you ask you will be told a lot of stories of what is beneath the restaurant. Perhaps you should wait to ask until after you have eaten ;).

Nice, historic, rustic, nothing special. Decent German fare but price value not up to the standards I have set.
