I have learnt the hard way not to trust done reviews from an island with a limited number of restaurants and where tourists are involved- everything tastes better on holiday! I was pleasantly surprised when visiting this little restaurant with beautiful views of Skopelos. The staff were helpful and friendly and they had a high chair which many tavernas do... More

Memories are made of this, wonderful view, pleasant, helpful and patient service and lovely, interesting food. A little more expensive than the average Greek restaurant - because it is above average.

We were lucky enough to get a table out on the balcony, even though we hadn't booked a table. We watched the sun set as we had a delicious meal with locally caught fish. I can only recommend this place.

We have visited Agnanti many times over the last few years and have yet to be disappointed. In the evening the sunset is magical. The menu is interesting with a more sophisticated yet modern take on Greek Cuisine. Well worth a visit!

We visited Agnanti for the second time and it was as good as we remembered. The food is top quality and cooked with flair. We chose octopus, and herb fritters for starters, and for our main course fish parcel, and Mediterranean chicken. Dinner for two with wine and three courses was around €90-100 and was well worth it for the... More

We have visited this great restaurant a few times over years. We love its location and the amazing views. The service was ok but we didn't feel that the food was as special as it has been in the past.

My partner and I had a lovely dinner here. The food was delicious, the waitress was lovely and the spot was beautiful. However, we did feel that it was trying a bit too hard. There was also a little hiccup when the waitress served my veggie partner meat parcels by mistake - she was so apologetic and kind though that... More

Greeted by Nikos, one of the owners, you are made to feel welcome and comfortable. Panos, the server, is charming and efficient. There are GLUTEN FREE options so my lunch was outstanding! The restaurant means flavors of the sea, so trying some of the seafood dishes is recommended. The views from the very top floor are amazing, and the spiral... More

This gastronomic journey began in 1953 in the picturesque amphitheatrical village of Glossa, on Skopelos. That year, grandmother Aglaia Stamataki and her son Nikos (grandfather of the present owner) set up a tavern that they named "Gallia" (France), to appeal to the few French tourists who visited the island at that time. In 1985, the little taverna changed its name and was rebaptized "Agnanti" (meaning "view"), to reflect its beautiful aspect over the Aegean. It was around that time that Agnanti passed into the hands of the children of grandfather Nikos: Stamatis and Mahoula Stamatakis. With their wonderful, well-prepared recipes, Agnanti immediately made an impression and gained a great reputation on the island. Their son, Nikos, knew no other life when growing up, other than Agnanti. He helped out doing little chores and entered at a very young age into the world of the magical flavors his parents created. From an early age Nikos decided that he, too, wanted to devote himself to Agnanti. The dream became a reality and Nikos has now taken on the running of Agnanti. Handed from generation to generation, Nikos feels that Agnanti is a wonderful inheritance. Honoring family tradition, he has further developed Agnanti, putting his own gastronomical stamp on today's restaurant. And so it is that little tavern that opened in 1953 has today become a great modern restaurant without losing any of its atmosphere and originality. Everyone who visits Agnanti today becomes a faithful friend. And it is these friends who, with their love and patronage, continue to write Agnanti's history.
