When you see what amounts to a stream of walkers coming off the Edge and there is no room in the car park you know this is worth a stop. lunchtime was crowded and if you have to wait for a table then there is a connecting door to the craft centre!

Stopped for lunch mid way through our walk. Seriously good food, and cake!!! Although the chocolate cale was slightly sickly after a while. But good value restaurant! Obviously a great little cafe considering how busy it was. The shop next door is also fantastic. Could have spent a fortune in there.

We arrived late at the chequers where we were staying had stopped serving lunches and one of the bar staff advised the eating house. We both chose the jacket spuds. I chose the Stilton and mushrooms and my wife chose the coronation chicken. Both were really good and were served with a really nice side salad. The prices were reasonable... More

This is a smallish friendly cafe with some outside seating and gift shop too. This is a lovely little gem out in Derbyshire. The staff were friendly helpful and accommodating. I'm vegan and my kids are vegetarian. It was brilliant that the had a menu solely dedicated to vegans with some great options. Shame there wasn't any desserts or cakes... More

We came into this very busy (busy because it's so good) little place for lunch on a sunny Autumn Tuesday. They have both Vegan and non Vegan menus. At the counter is a selection of home made cakes and baking. There is a specials blackboard. It's a self service type of place, which isn't a criticism, and you can go... More

Real ups and downs! Generous with the tea but the hot chocolate wasn't great. Really excellent quiche, the bread and butter pudding was hearty and massive! Slightly odd vibe that felt it was trying to be fancier than it was and so missed out on being cosy. The service was intermittent with some friendly and helpful and others not so.... More

My brother and his wife discovered this place recently so 5 of us drove out from Sheffield for a late lunch. Very good menu with a good selection of dishes. I had the bubble and squeak which was very nicely presented and very tasty. The rest of the family enjoyed their food too. Friendly staff. Good service. Recommend it.

I feel quite bad writing this review but it is an issue that really annoys me in any establishment. We popped in for a drink on Monday afternoon and were stood waiting to be served as there was nobody behind the counter. When we were served after a minute or two there wasn't a greeting, please, thank you, smile or... More
