Friendly welcome and hot, freshly cooked food arrived in good time. Would recommend the Duck and the marmalade bread and butter pudding was superb.

Visited several times. Beer good, food very good, but more expensive than your average village pub. But, you get what you pay for. Quantity and quality good.

This place is a gem of a cosy country pub, with rooms and great food. Four of us for a leisurely lunch could be found in the Snug Bar, by the fire, reading menus with G and T to hand. Lovely button-back leather sofas helped. There's a good menu, nothing pretentious, and I could have happily eaten all of the... More

Just so happened to visit this beautiful pub after visiting the wolf conservation trust- where they offer 10% of food if you have visited there! Only stopped for a Diet Coke and some food, had a lovely panini with delicious Cajun fries. Nice staff and lovely warm atmosphere 👍🏻

On the off-chance we dropped in on Sunday to see if a group of five could have lunch. No problem! A table was laid in the light, bright conservatory and we were set up for a really good meal. Pigeon breast starter and soup were great. For the mains, between we had fish cakes, steak and stilton pie and a... More

Went with friends who live in the area. Were we pleased we did. The chef we were told has been there 13 years and is from New Zealand. The Haddock & Spring Onion Fishcake with Poached Egg, Hollandaise Sauce & Curly Kale was delicious with a runny yolk. My wife and female friend had the special of scallops with a... More

We had a wonderful luncheon at the 6 bells. As it was a quiet session we were seated in the conservatory. It was pleasant and warm with a welcoming feel. We chose to have the Sunday roast menu. We chose the pate and the mozzarella salad as starters, then the roast pork for main course. All the dishes were well... More
