Ordered from their daily specials menu.Entre' came out wrong and everything was salty.Drinks were good though.

Excellent options, fair prices, very busy little place with good service and great cooking. Hats off to the chef. More than satisfied w/dishes I've tried. We'll be back for more.

I have had both lunch and sat at the bar with very similar results, all positive. Lunch menu is extensive, affordable and excellent. Sitting at the bar, also during lunch, we were able to have food delivered and enjoyed the atmosphere of just sitting and savoring our martinis. Many senior communities nearby and it must be really good, cause the several times we visited, the place was packed!

I have been frequenting Donavans for years, 4 or 5 evenings a month. I stop off after working late, for food and a beer. Tonight was the worst. I ordered a specialty German dish. The veal was to be breaded and pan fried with a side of potato salad. The veal was black, doused in oil. The potatoes in the potato salad wasn't even cooked. The hard potatoes had a watered down mayo sauce liquid that filled the plate. I know the food can be awful after the chef goes home for the night, but this was it for me. Past night meals were bearable, and paying for inedible food seemed wrong. I will stick with the Office Lounge in Toms River for now on. I can't belive that yhe staff actually looked at the food as they placed it infront of me, thinking this is ok!

DISAPPOINTING. Every meal at the table was disappointing. Every meal at Every one of 3 visits was disappointing. (Dried out corned beef, overcooked fish, hard sour cole slaw, tomato paste for sauce on chicken parm, etc.) NOT GOING BACK.

Went for lunch. They have a great menu. I had the grilled chicken blt wrap,. Came with seasoned fries, pickle and Cole slaw. Was very good. Service was great .

Went to Donovans about 9 30 PM for dinner. It is one if the few restaurant/pubs serving food later in the evening, I think until midnight. I had the stuffed shrimp, nothing special, but adequate. My son had the turkey club. The bacon was burned, which detracted from the flavor. It was, again, not bad, but not special either. Likely will return for the variety and late food service. The service was quick.

When it comes to early bird specials this is an outstanding choice. The selection is very large and you can get beef, chicken, ribs, even seafood...It comes with soup, potato or rice and desert...All for 11.95....Another plus is the people who work and serve here seem to like what they do and always smile and welcome you....I would recommend this place for a nice comfortable experience and have never been disappointed....

We've been here a few times ordering dinners. We've had the ribs and steaks over time and we're always left wishing we had ordered something else. The food was just so-so. My advice is to stick with burgers or similar menu items.
On the plus side, service is quick and friendly. Lots of regulars so Donovan's is doing something right.

We eat there many times. At least once a week. Food is pretty good and service is always excellent. Friendly place.
If you love popcorn, you can eat free popcorn to your hearts content.
