Visited here whilst in Bordeaux. Be aware it's not in the centre of Bordeaux, we took an Uber, but a bus or tram are an option too. We were really keen to dine at Blisss so made a reservation well in advance, it's a small restaurant so if you want to guarantee a place I suggest you do too!
We visited just after lockdown and so there were the usual safety precautions in place, hand sanitiser at the door and the wearing of masks where possible, the staff also wore some very nifty face masks when serving us.
Now to the experience itself. This place is run by a family, father, mother and son, the guys in the kitchen and the mother covering front of house. It's lovely seeing a small family business doing so well. It's one menu, which changes month to month and you have no choices other than drinks to make. 8 courses are presented and all you know are the various ingredients used. They ask if you want to play a game during the meal, guessing which of the list ingredients are in each course. Quite good fun when the english translations aren't quite right!
Every course looked and tasted lovely, and every one was delivered in a timely manner. I felt the meal was great value and I'd definitely like to go back to experience another menu during a different season.
Be sure to check out Blisss, you won't be disappointed.

This was an exceptional experience which we couldn’t recommend highly enough. For us it was a Valentine’s dinner that will stay in the memory for a long time. This is a family run enterprise with Isabelle a super attentive host in the dining area, while father and son prepare a magnificent taster menu. In common with other reviewers I won’t reveal the entire concept, but the night was an intriguing and fun culinary experience from start to finish. We were made to feel totally welcome, right to the last moment when we were kindly escorted to the nearby metro stop as we were the last to leave - and yes, it was entirely worth the trip from the city centre to get here. This is a top of the line Bordeaux experience - and although not cheap - is well worth it for a special occasion. Well done Blisss!!!!!

A friend and I visiting Bordeaux dined with Blisss a couple weeks ago. It is outside Bordeaux but accessible via bus or tram or Uber. It's in a shopping center-type area but don't sleep on this place, it is an experience not to be missed. It is a surprise fixed menu that did not disappoint. The hostess will confirm reservation after conversing via WhatsApp to confirm what to expect, any allergies, etc. We were challenged by a game throughout the meal to identify ingredients we could taste in each of the 13 courses, perfectly proportioned so as not to be too full. Very intimate dining experience - only 6 tables. Good wine and drink list as well. Don't miss this place!

I've been testing quite a few restaurants out there with fine cuisine and this is by far the best one I've ever tried. Everything from service, atmosphere, concept, cuisine, staff was PERFECT. The dishes were out of this world! The blend of flavours it's incredibly tasty and the presentation of every plate was exquisite. It's not cheap, but can you really put a price on excellence? You have to try it!

This place will offer you a very unique dining experience. It is local, small, intimate and blends a variety of unique flavors that will leave you wanting more. The couple running the place is really friendly and even their kids are getting an early start to a chef's career :).
We came here to celebrate my fiances 30th birthday and even if it was slightly out of Bordeaux, it was definitely worth it!
The menu is a "surprise" and you must guess the key ingredients and components of each dish, really cool concept!

Blisss is small restaurant about 6 miles away from the center of Bordeaux. It is tastefully decorated and the host was very welcoming. They offer a 9-course dinner for 94 euros and a wide selection of wine for paring. it is worth every penny. The food was delicious and the whole dinning experience was fun. It makes our trip to Bordeaux more memorable.

This restaurant may not have a Michelin star yet (though it is listed in the Michelin guide). And that is really strange because the quality of the overall experience is better than at many 1 star restaurants that we have visited. The dishes are simply amazing, the emphasis being on respecting and intensifying the ingredients making up the dish. Whilst at the same time producing visually appealing food without being overly theatrical. Not an easy balancing act. Wine list quite extensive with a wide range of countries/regions at varying price levels.
As for the service, Isabelle makes sure that the patrons thoroughly enjoy the experience. Polite without being intrusive and with a good sense of humour. One can feel that this is a real family run restaurant where all pride themselves in offering their best..............and their best is pure blisss :)
As the French would say, this place is simply "incontournable".

Blisss is incredible. A small restaurant in a small shopping strip about 30 minutes away from downtown Bordeaux, very well worth the trip. Food is amazing, servce is attentive. It is a husband and wife team, very creative and fun. You have to guess some of the ingredients in the dishes you are being served, which makes it interactive and interesting. It is a tasting menu, so everything is a surprise. Do not miss this restaurant when you visit Bordeaux, it is a great experience!

Blisss was our first "fancy" dinner upon landing in Bordeaux. After reading the great reviews, we were excited to experience this gem of a restaurant and we were not disappointed. It was a quick 20 minute ride on Uber from city center so easy to get to. The fun part of the dinner was the guessing of the ingredients in the 9 dishes served. The food and presentation were fantastic, Michelin-like as members of the chef's team took turns in presenting each dish. The meal took roughly 2 hours from start to finish and the pacing was on point. Since our dinner finished late-ish, our first uber driver cancelled the ride as we were waiting outside but Isabelle and her husband were willing to offer us a ride back to our hotel. That was such a nice gesture as we declined since our 2nd uber attempt was around the corner. Overall, anyone who enjoys a culinary experience should book their reservations ASAP if they plan on visiting Bordeaux!! I will recommend BLISSS to my friends and anyone who appreciates fine dining!! You guys are phenomenal!! -)

The restaurant is owned by a husband and wife. The husband is an amazing chef and the wife is a manager and a hostess. Very small, beautifully appointed place, only 6 tables.
It was a very memorable dinner! Though it’s 15 min by car from Bordeaux, it absolutely is worth the trip

Everything from the service and experience to the food and wine was exceptional. The restaurant is in a charming location outside of central Bordeux but highly worth the short cab ride.
On entering we were presented with a welcome letter and card of ingredients we had to identify in each dish, which added a great element of fun and conversation to our experience.
The food was faultless, every dish was singing with flavour and technical skill and creativity in the presentation.
Could not recommend more and great value for money!

Our dinner at Bliss was a highlight of our two weeks in France and Spain. We were staying in Bordeaux city center - the Uber trip required to experience this incredible restaurant and their hospitality, amazing food and delicious wine was well worth the drive.
It is an intimate setting with a small number of diners. Everything about the ambience is comfortable and first class - from the decor to the unique crockery - serving and table service created by a local ceramics artist just for Bliss.
Isabelle greeted us upon arrival, and was a most courteous, warm and hospitable presence all night. We were seated at a table for four right in front of the kitchen, and had the chance to watch Chef Jullian prepare each of course of our dinner, and interact with him throughout the night. We dined at several Michelin-starred restaurants on this trip, and Bliss was our favorite dinner!
The food was incredible and amazing in taste and texture. Not to give away some of the surprises of the dinner, but it was unlike any dinner the four of us have experienced in all of our travels around the world.
Great family restaurant, memorable hospitality and world class food and wine - definitely worth making a reservation and taking the trip to Bliss if you are in the Bordeaux region.

We visited BLISSS initially in June 2018 and returned for a second time in June 2022. While the restaurant has undergone renovations and restyling since our last visit the quality of the food has not changed and instead continues to be beyond reproach in Bordeaux.
Dinner was a nine-course tasting menu that we paired with two bottles of wine based off Isabelle’s recommendation and it was spectacular. They also have a fun game for patrons, if interested, listing 37 different ingredients and allowing guests to guess three ingredients per course from the list.
BLISSS deserves a Michelin star, period. It deserved it in 2018, and the quality has only improved since. Anyone interested in incredible food with a good wine selection would be remiss to not get a taxi or Uber and hit up BLISS. They are the one place I will return to again on my next trip.

My husband I visited France for our 25th wedding anniversary trip and planned much of our travels around food. We visited several lovely restaurants but Blisss was by far the most amazing meal we had on our trip or ever. I still dream of returning. Every detail of our visit from beginning to end was exquisite. The restaurant is beautifully designed, quiet and cozy. From the moment you arrive you know this is going to be an incredible experience. And it truly is an experience. The courses are thoughtful and unique. Every dish is beautifully plated and each ingredient is intentionally selected to create the most delicious and creative dishes. The menu is also playful and the presentations are interactive and fun. I simply cannot express how welcome we felt and how absolutely delicious the food was. It was a culinary adventure not just a meal.

My boyfriend and I visited this gorgeous little restaurant a few weeks ago. From the moment we walked in we felt so welcomed and part of an experience. It isn’t just a restaurant! It’s small, intimate, beautifully decorated & comfortable. Isabelle, the lady running the show, was just the best. She makes you feel so welcome instantly!
We sat down and received a list of ingredients which we had to pick out in each dish, which is what turned it from a meal into an experience.
The food that we ate was executed to perfection. The only dish we weren’t keen on had bottarga grated on which was a little too strong for us, but that was 1 of 9 dishes, and it’s only down to personal taste!
My boyfriend who doesn’t like mushrooms or seafood loved both the mushroom soup and all the fish courses…so that says something!
There were 2 chefs in the kitchen, and for just the two chefs to put out these dishes with all the elements and detail was quite amazing. We were blown away.
So a big huge thank you for an amazing evening!
