Live in hope because there is naff all else. When you take over a place like Gravy you should change the name. Unless you are Supremely Capable. Old Gravy was a brilliant place to eat, arguably the best in the area. New Gravy have pitched the prices the same but are not quite there. It's good and the menu was... More

Thank you for your balanced review. Like all new businesses it will take a while for everyone to settle in and provide the excellent food the team are more than capable of delivering. We kept the name because people know it and it was associated with excellent food, as it will be again. Regarding the lamb, you probably did not... More

Amazing food and great service by all staff members. I had the confit dug leg to start with followed by the confit lamb, whilst my partner ordered the basil and tomato soup and the chicken supreme. All 4 dishes were extremely good. We both shared a delicious chocolate fondant with homeade ice cream to top it all off. The great... More

My wife and I heard Gravy was open and thought we would try it on a recent visit to Cornwall. We were not disappointed. They have new chef's and a completely redecorated restaurant, a real wow factor when you walk in. The food was excellent, great taste, fantastic selection. I had the goats cheese and red onion marmalade tart which... More

I've thought long and hard about writing this review but people need to know of our experience. Last year we celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the experience was that good that we did the same this year, except it wasn't a good experience. Things didn't get off to a good start when we arrived to experience a dispute about... More

The food is outstanding. I had scallops to start and duck for main and both were the best Ive ever had. What more can I say? Fine dining in a superb little restaurant where you can see them working in the immaculate kitchen. The wine went down a bit quick though ;)

Superb and memorable. The staff made the experience even better - the waiter was helpful, informed and even said that we'd need less side dishes than we were going to order!

We've been lucky enough to have eaten in some fabulous restaurants & without a shadow of a doubt this is certainly one of the best. I loved the honesty of the open kitchen: there's nothing to hide & if you're lucky enough to be seated on one of the tables opposite, watching the food being prepared & served heightens your... Another visit to our favourite restaurant in Truro. We were lucky to get in as they had a cancellation. I am quite a fussy eater, but there was plenty of choice from the new menu. I had the rib eye steak with parmesan mash, the peppercorn sauce was to die for! Excellent meal, wine and service.
