We were taken to Fins by some locals. The first thing that appealed to me was that you could take your own wine and the corkage is only £3. Primarily a fish place, but carnivores are catered for. We all had fish and the Lemon Sole was just out of this world. The fish is so fresh and they also... More

What a jewel if you like seafood. If you are looking for a cheap lunch this is not the place to go but if you are looking for relaxing lunch and friendly staff then you are on to a winner. The food is fresh and cooked to order and delicious. Menu is small (they don't cook only fish there are... More

Drove the hour and a half journey up from Dumfries to try this place as we love our seafood and very glad that we did. The restaurant is quaint and staff were friendly only slight irritation was the table with a bunch of noisy kids which came in just after 6pm. Ordered both the hot and the cold seafood platters... Bargain half lobster for £14.99 with excellent chips. A plate of the freshest oysters and very reasonable corkage of £3. Don't forget to book and bring your own alcohol.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who uses a wheelchair, who was with us. The staff could not have been more helpful and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The food was very tasty and well cooked. We were very pleased to see that the restaurant serves squat lobsters and were very flexible when we asked... More

My wife and I spent a few days with my brother, who lives in Greenock and, to round off our stay, decided to drive the 20 miles to Fins Restaurant (now 'The Catch at Fins') near Fairlie, to have 'a delicious meal', as we've read some very good reports... We duly booked several days in advance, for the 25th of... More

We try to hit this place every time we go to Scotland (which is once a year). The food is quality is consistent and very good! I usually have the seafood linguine which is a large portion with just the right amount of seafood. This time I had the Salmon Macallan. Wonderful! The whiskey sauce was perfection. Can't wait for... We invited friends from Glasgow to Finns . Great choice of seafood . It was a very busy night , but courses were well spaced out . The hot and cold sea food platters were amazing . A great night food wonderful.

been meaning to go there - finally glad we did! Can get a wee bit noisy once place is full but the food is to die for. Every course was delicious and I think and hope we will become regulars. Highly recommended
