Stayed while working in the area, and would highly recommend. Accommodation was great and food was delicious. Breakfast included, is also lovely and plentiful. Owners very hospitable and great to chat to. Overall a great stay, thanks.

Enjoyed impromptu lunch at this Homely traditional pub in small village with genuinely home cooked food. Nice wood burner on the go giving warm comfortable feel. Haddock and chips were fresh and fairly priced. Children's fish fingers were battered pieces of fresh haddock rather than the usual birds eye from the freezer type usually expected. Would recommend and would go... More

We booked to stay for 2 nights and so glad that we did. They have 2 double bedrooms and we were very pleased with ours. It was lovely and warm and very comfy. Plenty of tea and coffee and lovely biscuits. The staff were very helpful and polite. They made us feel very relaxed and welcome. The food is lovely... More

We came across this pub while travelling around but had missed our turning. Being it was lunch time we thought we would see what it was like, we were greeted by a lady who directed us into the main area which had a lovely roaring log fire. Even though it was just before 2 o/clock when meals stop they let... More

If you like that "Local pub" feel, then this is the pub for you. Real ale where the land lord is only too happy to top it up for without having to ask.

Visited during a walking weekend. Sorry I can't comment on the interior decor as I let the other guys wait on me as I sat outside. Being mid-walk I thought I would order something small and simple: a fish finger sandwich. But it was amazing. Lovely fresh bread and home-made fingers of fresh haddock in a light batter. Also a... We came here every night for dinner during our trip to the Peak District. The food was lovely, and we were made to feel really welcome. My boyfriend has coeliac disease and can't eat gluten, so on our first night I phoned ahead to ask if they could cater for this. We arrived to find he had his very own... More

Warm welcome at this tiny village pub and a very good pub lunch in the pretty garden at the back, with a nice view over the fields. Ample parking. I had my usual scampi, chips and peas, husband had an enormous plate of gammon, egg, chips, tomato, mushrooms etc. and a pint of Farmers Blonde from the hand pump. Chips... More

A group of us on motorcycles called at the Queen Anne Inn on a busy village carnival day. Nice to see a proper country pub. The pub was busy but we were welcomed by the staff and served quickly. The beer was lovely and although we didn't eat there the food being served looked lovely. A lovely unspoilt small village... More
