Me and my boyfriend (I'm gay btw) came to this restaurant to celebrate 60 years together! We were met and served by a lovely young man, we think Philip was his name? Young, copperheaded fellow. Anyway, this young man had to be the most charming...More

Staff all titter amongst themselves, you have to leave ur table to order your food. When i go to have food, I expect to be served. I was served by a young girl with mid length blonde hair who basically whispered + was so shy....More

My partner and I went to the "Otter Lodge" Cookstown Tuesday 14th November at 6.10pm. We wanted to eat before the Cinema at 7.30pm. There where two members of staff, one male, one female. The male was about 16/17 at the most. He never smiled,...More

A nice setting other than the cardboard 'scene' at the side. Staff said hello and pointed out the specials board. No indication that its not 'actually' a restaurant...u go to the bar to order..n bring ur 'tab' down to the table. The young girl could...More

Called in when passing through Cookstown. The place was very busy as it was 12th July but they fitted us in without any dramas. Menu is reasonable & pricing is reasonable. Food was good. Place could probably do with a spruce up, but that should...More

The longevity of Otter Lodge speaks for itself. I eat there with friends on a more or less weekly basis and have done so for at least the last twenty years. This is a family run, relaxed, bistro style restaurant with no pretensions to silver...More

Food was excellent and staff were very friendly. However, I feel the cardboard scene should be removed as it takes away from the scenery outside of the restaurant. Also tables were very close together.

My husband and I called in for Sunday dinner whilst staying in the area. The outside is beautiful as it is on the bank of a beautiful river with a lovely arched bridge. We had the Sunday roast beef and at £7.95 was excellent value...More

Description
On the main route from Armagh to the Causeway Coast you can find one of Tyrone's most successful eating houses. Over the last 29 years Otter Lodge has established a reputation for quality and great value for money. Situated on a stunning riverbank location at the south end of Cookstown, Heather and Harold Moffett's award winning bistro is known throughout Northern Ireland for consistently good food and easy drinking wines at very reasonable prices. Orders are placed at the bar but Food is served to the table and this arrangement adds an informal relaxed atmosphere where customers are in control. Otter Lodge is open for light lunches and evening meals and has a lively buzz especially at weekends. Single tables can be reserved for groups of six to 14 in the Wine Bar with larger groups being accommodated upstairs. A selection of great value 'Lunch specials from £6.95' are on offer and due to increased demand, Heather and Harold have recently introduced 'All Day Sunday Opening', and an excellent value 'Evening Deal Menu'.
