A friend has been recommending we visit the cafe here for lunch, and on our last visit we relented. Although the cafe was busy we were shown to our table immediately, selected what we wanted to eat - a chicken liver parfait plate for my wife and quiche with green salad for me - and were very pleasantly surprised at... I would highly recommend Quails at the Gallery for food, ambiance and service. Well worth a visit and one of the best eateries in the area.

My partner and I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago for lunch. Personally I like my lunch served on a plate, not a slate or a chopping board. The food is of good quality and well presented. We had no complaints and the place was busy, with people waiting on tables. Worth a visit if you are passing on... More

I've driven past the secluded entry to this gallery and never gone in before whilst over visiting family. Had lunch at Quails today - soup was excellent with your own little wheaten bread loaf. The setting is lovely, bright and airy, overlooking a sculptors garden - yet so secluded and private. Will definitely be returning. On the other side of... More

I love the fact that their meat comes from their own farm and butcher locally. Staff are always lovely and friendly without being over familiar. Perfect... More

Visited after seeing the chef appear on Masterchef, He was eliminated in the first round and after sampling the food I'm not surprised. The presentation was lovely but alas it was style over substance. The blue mash was cold (maybe that would explain the colour) and the other vegetables under cooked, verging on raw. I don't think cooked parsnips are... More

We only had coffee but the food looked so good that I'm sure we will come back for lunch. Beautiful setting looking out on the garden.
