Booked for Mothers Day. Waited over 45 minutes for a meal that was average at a push, in fact Hubby said that the only thing he would come back for would be the roasties. I had salad, chips and salmon and cod fishcake. Salad indeed - I would say that it was less that I would expect for a side... More

After a family walk on a cold Sunday, we tried to get a table at a nearby pub but left in disgust at the terrible attitude of the staff. We used Google Maps to find nearby pubs and The Cross Keys popped up. We followed the directions and were reassured by the out-of-the-way location. What a lovely find this pub... More

Just got back from a great Pork belly Sunday lunch. This pub clearly puts a lot of pride into the food it produces, the accompanying beer was very good as well.

Went to the Cross Keys for the first time last Saturday, and was really impressed with everything about the place. Great atmosphere and friendly welcome followed by a really nice meal. The menu options were good (although maybe a request for a another option for non-meat eaters), and the meals were all extremely tasty, well presented and with good quality... More

Returning from the flea market at Royal Bath and West with my wife who was hungry, we saw the signs on the A362 for the Cross Keys. Making my way down the single track I thought I would never get there and then, around the bend, there it was. Maddie and Holly took great care of two yanks returning to... More

A midweek (Wednesday) visit, just to enjoy a meal out, it was certainly more than we expected, the food and service was excellent, and the menu was varied with a good choice of food for special diet requirements. The restaurant is only 1/2 mile from the main road, A362, definitely worth the diversion.

Popped in after going to Center Parcs, which was only 5-10 minutes away. Visited on a Monday lunchtime, pub was very quiet, had place to ourselves! Pleasant enough pub, ok burger and chips and a chance to hone my poor darts skills!

This community owned Inn is so handy for a beautifully cooked meal before visiting Longleat as it only about 10 mins from the main entrance. Our meals were delicious, the dining area was very light and airy and the staff very welcoming. The location means that you need to be aware of it as you would be unlikely to find... More

Just had ours works Christmas dinner here. About 20 of us. Food was really good. Tasty, classy & plentiful. With extra bowls of roast potatoes & pigs in blankets. A nice touch. This is a great country pub. Will go back again for the food & hospitality. Recommended.
