Met friends for a mid week lunch, service was friendly and it was busy in the cafe. Unfortunately the food was average.

We went as a large group to a barbeque, the food was made for us while we waited, well worth waiting for.

My wife and I visited here whilst touring in the area. What a fantastic place, beautiful working farm set in a stunning location. We had a late lunch in the café, which was quite busy but we only had to wait a short while for a table to become available. We both had the soup (roasted tomato with chickpeas and... More

where do I start...... I went here for breakfast and ended up staying for hours. The food and coffee in the cafe was well priced and tasty and the service was great. The farm shop had such an extensive range of products and produce. There was a play area which kept the kids entertained while I wandered through the gardens... More

Fantastic food and a vast array of produce. Half a mile walk from the Farm Camp next door. Deserves every success

Plough mans platter took ages. Porkpie, all pastry, meat size of a walnut. Just a slither of cheese. Medium glass of wine about a thimbleful. Food served on dirty wooden platter with fungus visible. Had to watch woman breast feeding her sprig in front of me. If that is natural what can I too do that is natural. Stupid daddy... More

Have not been here for a while (obvious reasons, very busy with lots of shreiking kids) so we thought we would pop over for a late lunch. We waited until later to let the rush die down and ensure the younger clients had vacated. Arrived at around 2pm to a much quieter Hartley, plenty of parking, plenty of free tables,... More

Hello Mr Joner, I'm sorry we weren't able to meet your needs when you visited again. At very busy times, which we do experience on occasion, we do have delays in getting our food at from the kitchen. We felt the best way to handle this was to keep our guests as informed as possible and let them know the... More

Normally the food is quite good. Today, however, I had the roast beef. Unfortunately the beef was very, very chewy and the food was only just warm... so I gave most of the beef to my dog.... he was very happy of course. The waitress came and I told her that it wasn't good but I didn't want to make... More

I visited with a friend for lunch. I choose the ploughman's because it was a Ploughman's with a twist. You can choose which cheese you would like plus one item from the delia board (pork pie, scotch egg, sausage roll) I had a big chunk of homemade bread, a knob of real English butter, pickle, pickle gherkin and peppers, half... We visited here on Saturday 25th June, after looking online on their website. We are great lovers of farm shops and decided to try out the cafe for lunch. I took my mum and two sisters and we were very much looking forward to it. When we arrived we were a little disappointed at the car parking, as my mum... More
