Beautiful little Bakewell is a must if travelling in the peak district with its stunning streets & busy riverside with bridges of love locks is a lovely stroll. Follow it by a traditional Bakewell pudding or tart In some of the lovely coffee shops!

Popped in here for a cooked breakfast and received a plentiful plateful of well cooked traditional breakfast fare, served by a friendly lad. Good value and set us up for the day.

We went here for an afternoon snack. Pleased by the fact they were dog friendly. Disgusted by the fact that they charge nearly £6 for a children's sandwich which was the same price as a children's hot meal!!! Didn't realise the price before ordering and...More

There were dirty tables everywhere and the waitress (petite with brown hair) was shouting something that resembled 'bye driver/driver' whilst (poorly) wiping tables. Although the service was unprofessional, the drinks were satisfactory (albeit a little overpriced). Overall not a brilliant visit.

Had an original Bakewell tart with ice-cream and the lovely tangy orange and raspberry sauce. The tartan as cooked well and very tasty. Nothing beats fresh baking. All in all a great place for a good pudding.

We had lunch here and ate outside on a lovely sunny day, inside is bigger than you'd expect and there's an upstairs terrace. We only had a sandwich as we were eating out later in the day. My husband had a fall here and the...More
