Went 2 weeks ago and was super disappointed. We didn't even get to order a drink or anything! Lots of spare tables and a guy telling everyone about a 'bit' of a wait which was understandable as it was busy. 25 minutes before even an order was taken was a bit too long for a thirsty child so we left.... More

Had a a wonderful day out in bakewell would really recommend it great shops lovely relaxing around the river great food in the pudding parlour definitely recommend it great day for all the family plenty to do

Stopped off for a brew in Bakewell. What a shambles. Waited nearly 30mins for a cup of earl grey and a latte plus the driest Bakewell pudding and millionaire shortcake we have ever had. Which considering we were in Bakewell was not a good thing. The long wait was due to the staff forgetting our order and we were not... More

Great location. Good value for lunch. Lunch pizza deal especially. Free wifi for customers. Ideal for day trippers.

Visited at lunchtime today. Quite busy in the town and the restaurant was busy but the service was excellent and fast plus the staff were very friendly and helpful Nice place with plenty of room and well laid out Menu varied and excellent food! Highly recommended!

called for afternoon tea---had The Works pleasant staff-----good service-----friendly the one minus point was the kitchen cannot tell the difference between sandwiches and cobs....asked for the former got the latter

Greasy chargrilled chicken, (enthusiastic) waitress didn't know specials' content, not the cleanest place, one unisex toilet for a reasonably large restaurant, expensive for what you get. Just called in today, asked on the off chance for gluten free and dairy free food, they had both 😆 very helpful staff, lovely food ....nice atmosphere very relaxing place to spend time enjoying your food and drink. Visited here today on a rainy day having smelt the food from the outside. We were allowed to take our dog into the cafe which made it all the more worthwhile going in. Waitress service was prompt and very polite, Ordered the full English breakfast which at £4.95 was a reasonable charge. Didn't want black pudding so the Waitress stated... More
