Called in for light lunch but the menu is quite limited. Salads, quiches etc.but no sandwiches or baguettes. As other reviewers have said it is quite pricey for what is on offer and it certainly isn't child friendly - there really isn't anything on the menu for young children other than cake.

Have visited regularly for coffee but yesterday made it for lunch. The quiche was excellent, staff very pleasant and friendly. Some reviews have been negative on price, but I don't mind paying for good quality food. Best to book, very busy: always a good sign .

Was hoping for a light lunch but they stop serving food at 2pm. A bit disappointed so we had cake and tea instead. Not bad but lunch would have been nicer.

I visited here with my 84 year old Dad recently. It is situated inside Forest Garden Centre at Darnley Dale across from DFS. Nice cafe, plenty of tables and specials are on the board. We picked a table and a very pleasant lady came to collect our order, my Dad wanted Jacket potato with prawns, this wasn't on the menu... More

Visited for lunch but other than the formal and expensive specials there are no sandwiches, toasties etc. Other than the scones which are excellent cherry and almond, sultana, lemon and ginger and apple and sultana. The cheap plastic jam portions are somewhat out of place in what is quite an expensive establishment. There looked to be a good selection of cakes.... More

We enjoy our visits to the garden centre. Very tasteful gift shop. No tac like a lot of garden centres. The cafe is lovely for a cake and tea/coffee but it is so warm. Very uncomfortable. Wouldn't enjoy a meal. They need to invest in some fans. The lady owner and her staff are pleasant and efficient but lack friendly... More

Lovely garden centre which we visit often, thought we'd have a bit of a late lunch but at 2.15 on a Saturday they'd nothing to offer for a lunch! We've never visited a cafe before where, even if they've no lunch 'specials' left they couldnt offer a sandwich or a baguette at any time through the day??

I took my mum for lunch and we both chose a salad. I chose the salmon & prawn salad. My generous portion of salmon & prawns were served in a prawn cocktail sauce and accompanied by an equally generous portion of homemade coleslaw. Disappointingly the 'salad' was a small portion of fresh leaves. The 'salad' was served with a small... More
