I have been here twice. I believe it is now Darley Deli. The first time was awful and I should have learnt. The second time was worse. Waited 30mins for a sandwich whilst others were served first. It is disorganised chaos. I waited whilst the owner (who continually shouts like a headmistress on a bad day making the atmosphere horrendous)... More

Has a wide range of quality produce. The staff are very professional and polite. At the front it has a counter service selling sandwiches paninis and salads. There is a little cafe at the rear with waitress service. Which sells a great selection of hot drinks as well as the usual salads etc. The all day breakfast is exceptional. Well worth... More

Visited today for a take away bacon and sausage cob - Under cooked sausage and bacon that all seems to be pre cooked - and not reheated So a tepid temperature All in a soggy cob - spoilt with half a bottle of brown sauce Ended up chucking it All for £3.50

Hello I'm sorry to hear you've had a poor experience with your sandwich. We've addressed your comments with our new team member in the kitchen as they acknowledged although the sausages were cooked to temperature of over 73'C, they didn't turn them half way through cooking, which meant they were pale on more than half of their surface. As for... More

Went to Darley Cafe today the food was very nice as was the decor however the owner was incredibly rude. DO NOT ask if you can open the door to let fresh air in unless of course you don't mind being shouted at!

Joanne A, Manager at Espresso Deli & Coffee Bar, responded to this review

Dear squerky The doors are not permitted to be left open unfortunately because of legislative restrictions of health and hygiene due to flys etc. The owner would never shout at customers and has never done so and we are pretty sure a member of staff wouldn't do that either. We have spoken to all the team to address this review.... More

As a note: This cafe was taken over by new ownership in 2015 or late 2014 I believe, so any reviews pre-dating might not be so accurate. When I first saw the cafe I wasn't expecting much and then I walked in. The cafe is wonderfully cozy and has excellent food. The things I love about it are... - The... More

To start I would just like to say that this is a wonderful coffee shop with great food to match. However I was put off by the rude service I received, please bear in mind this was on one occasion and is not a regular occurrence, this is purely for constructive purposes. The lady that had took my order was... More

Dear Sir/Madam Thank you for addressing your concerns. Having reviewed this with the team, we could have dealt with this immediately if something had been said to us at that time, because quite rightly, if a member of staff spoke about customers in that way, it would not be acceptable. When the staff responded saying the time it had taken,... More

Had been running a charity coffee morning & wanted to just sit & relax & that was exactly what my husband & I were able to do. The weather was sunny & we decided to sit in the garden at the back. What a lovely job the management have made of the place. It really looks as though someone cares... More

Just changed hands. All new staff as well. Able to park at the rear, or if you are lucky in the lay-by out front. Open on Sundays now as well. They have good local produce, including bread from The Loaf in Crich (great news, phone the coffee shop and they can order bread for the following day) Coffee shop has... More

On the A6 in Darley Dale, this fabulous deli/coffee bar really hides its' light under a bushel, but if you spot it and stop, a rare treat awaits. Lovely hot and cold food leaves you spoilt for choice and we have yet to be disappointed in any way. The service is great, and the staff are a joy. Plus, it's... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review; our waitress was sorry she made the error when re-writing your order.
