Just visited Heskyn Mill for lunch. Not been here for several years but it was absolutely lovely. Good food and plenty of it. We had two courses couldn't manage a dessert as we were completely full up with our Duck pate to start and roast for main course Well worth a visit

Booked a table for the evening for a small family group. Arrived and was welcomed by the owner who was very accomodating. Sat at the table and enjoyed the old world charm of the building along with a couple pre-dinner drinks. The meals came out and looked good (although maybe a bit small). Between us there was a good mix... More

We sat downstairs which had loads of character and thought the menu good. My husband had the pesto lamb and I had the turkey. Both meats were good but why oh why scrimp on vegetables! One small dish of veg between us... included 3 or 4 sprouts a range of different coloured carrots and a little bit of cabbage. Please... More

Went to Christmas Dinner with the family on Christmas Day. We were sat upstairs, no atmosphere whatsoever, not even Christmas music in the background. Our canapés and bread rolls were already on the table but no side plates. Canapés were also on the other tables even though no diners sat there for over an hour. Starters were small, my sister in laws... More

Booked as a group for our annual Xmas meal. The host was very accomodating and friendly. The food was OK. I could see that they had made an effort to be different, but, probably should have stuck to serving traditional Xmas fare instead of "glazed beetroot" and other odd bits. Also, the portions could have been bigger. However, quite a... More

The restaurant maintains a lot of the original mill features, great to see, add to atmosphere - you will need to duck if you are tall though! Food is excellent; great to see heritage vegetables being used - purple carrots and yellow beetroot. Lots of locally grown veg cooked perfectly. Vegetarian option of nut roast was lovely. Service great.

Having seen the sign a number of times when travelling the A38, we finally decided to try this venue, on an "out of season" Sunday. We were just in time for lunch, and ordered their traditional roast beef. The ambience here is perfect. The building has impressive, authentic mill wheels on each side of the room, and the proprietors are... More

The Heskyn Mill, Restaurant. Tideford. Cornwall. Tucked away and out of sight - this delightful old mill restaurant is well worth making the effort in seeking it out. A hidden gem. Set in a secluded location in the heart of the beautiful Cornish countryside yet surprisingly close to the A38 near Tideford and within easy reach of Liskeard, Looe, Saltash... More
