Lovely food and good choice. Service wasn't great, two staff on but one didn't seem to know what the other was doing and waitress kept looking at her mobile. Great outdoor area for adults but could have done with a tidy.

A little bit outside Ripon and down a country road, this is a lovely little inn offering excellent food with a smile. Even though we arrived after 2pm specials were still available in advance of the kitchen closing at 3. Highly recommended

Visited today following visit to Studley royal. Well worth the drive down country road. Warm welcome and just what you expect from a village pub. Great A La carte menu, good lunch menu and specials board. And the beer was good as well. Will return.

Visited BH Sunday, ironically as we arrived the locals were reading out past trip advisor reviews and laughing and joking. We were about to experience the rude and unwelcoming behaviour mentioned in some reviews by one particular young girl who was behind the bar. We...More

Perfect round table for six. Helpful service and delicious food from a wide ranging menu. Fresh local produce and typical tastes. Value wine selection and good beers. What more can you ask for?

We were staying in the area over the Bank Holiday and dined on two occasions. Each time we had a delicious meal at a very reasonable price. We would definitely recommend this Inn.

Description
PROUD TO BE LOCAL
An unspoilt, traditional village inn serving great Yorkshire ales, fine wines and locally sourced home cooked meals and snacks in the bar and adjacent dining area. We are family and dog friendly and proud to be the heart of the community.
