We were after a nice dinner on our arrival to Sydney. Found this place with some good reviews so we decided to try a 'walk in' as we could not have booked. Place was buzzing. All tables were booked so we were given a table outdoors.it was a hot day but the fan worked a treat. Service was pretty friendly... More

Quality Japanese food with good selection of meats for lunch at a good price point. Cosy atmosphere.

This Japanese BBQ restaurant is situated in the heart of North Sydney with a stunning outlook at the Sydney Harbour bridge from certain tables. The restaurant is a large space carering to groups of any size, with a range of different sized tables all with the BBQ's in the centre. It is great to have a meal sitting around the... More

I am a Swedish citizen who lived in Sydney for about one and a half years. Rengaya is hands down the best Japanese restaurant in town. Choose between Japanese BBQ or sashimi. I can recommend the Wagyu beef sashimi, the sashimi seafood platter and the Wagyu beef tartar.

Had the steak bento box takeaway which looked amazing in the picture but reality was a lot less exciting. Flavours we're good but the steak was quite tough. Bit expensive for a few measly pieces of tough steak

Totally delicious, fresh and sashimi pieces were nice chunky cuts! BBQ meat to die for. Excellent service. I will be a regular!

We come here often for their excellent wagyu beef barbecue. During weekdays lunch time, three choices of meat, plus rice, salad, some vegies and tea for only $29.95. The quality is superb! Better than 95% of the steaks out there. Wife's fav is the Oxford tongue, mine is the flap -- so juicy... We recommend every beef on the menu,... More

So I lunch here a lot for work and the food is always fresh and the beer always cold. A lot of my meetings tend to go well based on the meal. If it's not cooked to your satisfaction, that's completely your fault :)

The food is always very good here but they do charge like a wounded buffalo. $9.80 a large and $8.80 for a small beer. $40 for 4-5 slivers of beef, $30 for a 300ml jug of Sake etc I think it's good but overpriced. Factor in $80-$150 pp.
