Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stopped in Kenmare on our way to Gleninchaquin Park and popped in to this pub for lunch. I had a "milkshake" (cold chocolate milk) and the prawn salad, and both were pretty disappointing. The service was pretty good, but I don't think I'd go back, as it was a bit overpriced.

We stumbled on this place on our arrival to Kenmare. It's a cosy pub and here you will find good, hearty food. This place gets quite busy in the evenings, there is live music. Make sure you get here early and grab a table- most people have dinner and sit around at their table all evening. A nice place for... More

Good pub grub and great value. My son said it was the best beef burger he ever had & my husband had the beef & Guinness stew which he said was great. My pasta with pesto cream was okay. Overall great value & lovely atmosphere.

We had fun here listening to two musicians sing and play their way through a wide range of contemporary and traditional songs with accomplished skill...lively if not just a little too high on the volume...they could almost have done it unplugged. The food wasn't much too write home about. The beef and Guinness stew with vegetables was tasty enough but... More

Had lunch which consisted of four bowls of soup and two toasted ham and cheese sandwiches and a BLT panini, one pint of Guinness and a bottle of Coors light =€54.80. When I asked why I was being charged €7.95 the bar man said I had the special which was not the case, I explained that it was only ham... More

We visited on a Wednesday in early April. My kids seemed pleased with their pizza. I had a bite and it was inoffensive, nothing special. My wife and I had the mussels, which were plentiful. The sauce was very thick and a bit bland. Disappointing. We had a pint of McGargles IPA and Red, both were excellent. Table service was... More

We had dinner at other place and stopped here for a drink, dessert and live Irish music ( which was supposed to start 7:30pm). The place was very full and more people were coming in and they wanted to squeeze max out of this opportunity applying some Lean management principles ( unfortunately leaving good customer service out). We sat at... More

We had mid day meal here, it was actually around 2.30 so maybe that's why the portions seemed small - we were hungry! Food was lovely - just not enough of it.

We came here twice during our stay in Kenmare, and enjoyed it ! Staff is very helpful and efficient, the food is excellent, and there's a nice atmopshere with life music. As the kids didn't like the pizzas so much,I couldn't give the highest score, but everything else was great.

We are located in the hidden gem of Ireland that is Kenmare, Co. Kerry. With an 83% rating on Tripadvisor, we are the perfect place to drop off for a drink, a meal, to listen to some local music, or to stay for the night in one of our modern en suite rooms.
