Went here without a booking on a busy Saturday night, waited just a half hour in local pub, then returned to enjoy a lovely meal, with a real home-cooked feel to our food selections.

Was directed here by our B&B owner. When we arrived at this tiny establishment, they were full but asked if we would come back in 30min. After having a pint at a pub down the street, we returned and were treated to a wonderful meal. Lovely staff, DELICIOUS food, pleasant surroundings. So pleased that we chose to go back!

This is a restaurant used by the locals by my observation. Family run and attentive along with reasonably priced food. It served our purpose.

As usual the Shack did not let us down! Food was lovely - I had the chicken wrap and my husband had the burger. We could just about finish them after having the pizza garlic bread between us for starter. Busy restaurant, family friendly and great atmosphere.

Four of us stopped in on a Saturday night and all had delicious food in an atmosphere that made us feel at home. There is a wonderful story about this family restaurant on the first page of this menu and so we were immediately enchanted. Francis, one of the owners greeted us and we well served by our waitress who... More

Kinsale has a lot of pricey restaurants. We just wanted a dinner with some vegetarian options. The Shack was perfect for us. My daughter had vegetarian pasta with a mushroom sauce that she loved. I had a superb burger. Everyone was happy with their food. A nice, unpretentious place for a family dinner.
