We were met by a friendly staff member and seated in the restaurant. We both ordered chowder and decided to share a toasted special. The chowder was lovely and was not short of anything, served with 2 lovely slices of brown bread. The toasted special sandwich was lovely, meaty and hot ! But the chips were a major let down... We stopped for dinner. The place was full and we were seated in the second room as the first was full. I had the red pesto sea trout while my friend had the pasta tortellini with the pesto sauce. Both dishes were amazing. We also had a dessert called Eaten Mess which was average. while they had limited staff the... More

After a long day of walking and a good lunch we happened upon the back entrance to The White House. It was a perfect place to stop for a Pint of Guinness and Irish Coffee. Will have to say the Irish Coffe was great though not worth the 6.90€! Yikes!! My husband had two pints of stout beer and they... More

Our hostel recommended we go here for dinner so we did. I had the fish and chips which were nice. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The prices were fair and the place was very clean and welcoming. They also serve local beer which i always enjoy trying.

It was a chilly rainy afternoon and we were looking for some comfort food. Some soups and bread and a light beverage. This place fit the bill perfectly. Lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff, and an overall beautiful ambience. Definitely worth another try for a full meal.

We were drawn in by the Newport RI street sign out front as we live the next town over. Amiable chap at door told us of his visits here so we peaked our heads in the door to find a super charming pub! We had a pint and an excellent dinner!

...and wonderful Irish atmosphere. We had lunch and, while the menu was varied, we both settled on the lamb stew. It was a special that day. Just like Mom used to make. And the Guinness wasn"t bad either.

We were in kinsale for a conference and stayed here for 2 nights. The room was clean and tidy if a small bit small. There facilities were limited. There was no water or tea and coffee making facilities in the room which was a drawback. The location was fantastic and everything was a short walk away. In terms of value... More

This place was very busy when we arrived and we hadn't booked a table. The staff made up a table for us as soon as one became available and it was worth the wait. I had the sea trout with red pepper pesto which was simply delicious.
