The place we were recommended decided they were not doing food on a saturday lunchtime so we headed further on and found this place. We had steak sandwiches which were really tasty and came with fries and 2 sauces. Really good but I always prefer my steak sandwiches to be sliced steak rather than a slab of meat which can be chewy and hard to eat. They also had Guinness zero which is not always the case outside Dublin and this is good for the driver who still wants a lunchtime pint.

Food was absolutely fantastic! Had the tandoori chicken curry it was the nicest I’ve ever had my husband had the beef stir fry and loved it. Portions were very generous. The staff were amazing we were greeted with smiles walking in the door and they went above and beyond to make it such a fantastic dining experience we will definitely be back!!

We visited friends in Adare and my wife and I came here one night for dinner. It is a comfortable pub, with a reasonably extensive menu with good choices. With first business getting some drinks, our service was quick and friendly. We started our dinner with their Atlantic Seafood Chowder which turned out to be far the best we had over our 18 day holiday in Ireland and England. It was exceptional. Our entrees were Fish (cod) & Chips and a Pat Collins burger, both of which were very tastey. All in all it was a very good visit other than the end when our server unexplainedly disappeared and we waited for her return, but finally ended up having to walk up to the bar to close out our tab. We recommend Pat Collins Pub for a good dinner and a good time.

We went to this establishment on a recommendation from a friend, however our experience was very different and disappointing. We were initially happy they could take us as we didn't have a booking, we sat down at 6.10pm and were told we would need to give back the table at 7 30pm. We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and drinks. Food was served quickly but the food itself was very average with little taste or flavour. At 7.10pm we were asked if we were finishing up as the guests who had booked the table arrived. We said we thought we had the table until 7.30pm and she pointed to the reserved sign to say it says 7pm. I told her we were told 7.30pm. Felt very rushed and she asked to bring down the bill without an offer of desert, teas or coffees. We paid and left very unhappy, will not be going back!

Most of the tables had reserve signs on them. We questioned whether we could eat there. We were seated at a table with the understanding we would need to be finished eating by 7 pm. That was fine, but they did not bring our food until 6:45 pm. It eventually worked out and we were able to finish our meal. I had a very Irish meal of bacon, cabbage with mash potatoes and parsnip cream that was quite good. My friend enjoyed her steak sandwich. The atmosphere was very friendly and it seemed there were a lot of people who dine there often which is always a good sign. (September, 2022)

First time here and was slightly disappointed. . Went on a weekday evening. Place was buzzing which was good, service was pleasant and prompt, even with a large xmas party event on. Had food at the bar. Went for the soup which was chicken/spiced coconut -flavours were OK, didn't like the texture of the blitzed chicken much but ate it happily enough. Beef burger was disappointing, not fussed on the sauce/cheese and the chips were poor, tasted like frozen oven chips, very dry and i had to douse in vinegar and ketchup to eat them. Decent pint of guinness to go with it but I would expect better when handing over €30+.

When one looks for the definition of a lovely Irish pub this is it. We popped in on a winters day and received a friendly greeting and seated at a comfortable table. Our dishes included fish and chips, Irish stew and chicken. All were delicious after we all enjoyed a warm up Irish coffee. Appreciated that they offered half portions which were ample. A bustling spot.

Jason and the Team were great at making myself and our family feel very welcome for drinks, music, singing and a bit of dancing on a Sunday evening. Jason has kindly arranged for traditional music to be played in the bar for us and our wedding guests to continue our wedding celebrations. Some of our wedding guests stayed in Adare and raves about the quality of the food. Especially breakfast!

Stopped here for lunch recently and was not impressed. Decor is clean but dreary and dated. Toilets were in need of a good clear. Staff were efficient but did not interact with the customers in general. We ordered soup and BLT which were gorgeous. In this instance the food was let down by the general air of “really couldn’t care less”

We spent the first eve of our cycling holiday here getting fed & watered and chattin' :-) The pub itself is lovely & welcoming. My advice is to sit at the bar if you want to get chatting to locals. The Guinness is top notch, the chowder is stunning (perfect level of creaminess, it's a fine line) and full of fish. Great spot đź‘Ś

Walked into Pat Collins on a whim in the middle of the week. It was filled with lively locals having a great time. The owner promptly found us a table for 4 and we had great meals. Highly recommend the fish & chips, burgers, and chicken stir fry.

Went here for lunch with friends last Friday. Everyone of us cleared the plates it was so delicious so many options on the menu to choose from. The cocktails went down a treat. The atmosphere here is great and the staff were all so attentive and friendly.

Grabbed a quick dinner after a long day of exploring the Burren. Excellent service the food was good. I had the veggie pasta it was tasty. Chicken fillet burger was excellent - my daughter has moved from ranch (in the US)to garlic Mayo for dipping her fries. The only downside was we would get whiffs of cigarette smoke from outdoors. Other than that it was fantastic.

Passing through Adare we called into Pat Collins for some lunch what a pleasant surprise to find such a comfortable absolutely fantastic food. I certainly would highly recommend to stop here for good food at great prices and large portions. Very friendly staff and spotlessly clean.

We stopped here on the way to Kerry and it was perfect. Food was delicious, we had a mixture of starters and mains to share. The portions are big, everything was lovely. I wasn't driving so able to try the Guinness and it was very nice. A good mixture of locals there too which is always a good sign. Would definitely recommend if staying in Adare, or as a stop on a further journey.
