So delighted to have stopped into The Arches for lunch on a recent overnight trip to Adare. We wanted to enjoy the sunshine with a light lunch and glass of wine and were thrilled to see a table free outside. The staff from start to finish made us feel so welcome. There was a great competence and speedy service. We both had a toasted sandwich each which was served with a lovely dressed salad. The sandwiches were so fresh and packed of flavour. Tea served in a silver pot, and lovely chilled NZ Sauvignon blanc poured at the table. The price was so reasonable, and there was no sense of pressure to vacate! We even asked could we go and bring a 99 oce cream from next door - no problem!! John (the Manager/Maitre D/Sommelier!), and his daughter Shauna (we learned) served us. This was the standout. This family run business shone like no other place in my recent times. Warm, friendly, welcoming, funny - we felt like locals by the time we had to say goodbye. Will be back whenever we pass through. Thank you! The Galway sisters :)

Great food ( v large serving!), very helpful , friendly and efficient staff. One of our party got tomato ketchup on her clothes and they gave her stain remover for it!! Decor and toilets a bit dated & tired but spotlessly clean. Good value for all you get too.

What a lovely restaurant! The staff and Manager were friendly and the service was excellent. We all opted for breakfast which was one of the best I have tasted in a long time! We asked for the bacon to be crispy and were not disappointed. The coffee was served in a cafetière and was of excellent quality. I would recommend this restaurant with no hesitation.

I was disappointed. It was a lovely day. I was starving & wanted to sit outside. I was seated in the Courtyard because the other outdoor choice was on the footpath very near the road. Very strange surroundings. I ordered a toasted ham & cheese sandwich ( one slice of ham & one slice of cheese) & small bowl of fries €14. Which I thought was expensive. The young man who waited on me was very pleasant & food was made very quickly. Would I go there again. No.

If you're ever in Adare, try The Arches. Like the Tardis, it's deceptively larger than it looks from the outside due to one side extending back what seems like 30 metres. The food is always fresh and delicious, I have sampled over half the menu at this point and I have never been disappointed. The coffee is amazing, served in a French press and enough for two decent cups. The staff are always friendly and courteous and the owner is the epitome of the genial host. And as a bonus, they have an outdoor seating area for the four or five days of sunshine we get in Ireland.

We generally experienced great food throughout our trip to Ireland, but I can decisively say that we had our best meal of the trip at The Arches. With no real dinner plan, we sort of happened upon this restaurant accidentally while driving through County Limerick, and, boy, were we lucky to have done so! Everything was cooked to perfection. The desserts were excellent. The toffee pudding in particular was my favorite. The owner and waiters were super friendly and attentive, and the space was very unique and cool.

We stopped in here for breakfast on the way to Kerry from Shannon airport. The scrambled eggs plate and the mini Irish breakfast were delicious and generous in portions. I really like the skinny chips and salad included with the scrambled eggs. Good stuff!

Myself and my husband stopped here recently on our way to Killarney and have to say our lunch was amazing. Soup was the nicest I’ve ever tasted and the burger was mouth watering. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend stopping by here .

The natural aroma from the kitchen drifts into the restaurant and makes you dream of simpler times. Jimmy’s (Head Chef) cooking will tug at your heartstrings… Literally. You will never want to stop eating. The superlative customer service has never felt more homely. The architecture reminds one of a quaint rural Ireland that offers a sense of nostalgia. THE ARCHES

Wonderful breakfast to start the day. €12 got us a fluffy omelette, side salad, toast with marmalade and butter & fries. Coffee / Tea was included in the price. Family run restaurant that had three generations working while we were there. Lovely people to chat with.

Could I leave 6 stars for the service, please? John greeted me at the door, and took my food intolerances and complicated order in his stride. The resulting dish suffered nothing in taste, presentation, and promptness. I have been looking for ‘my’ place in Adare, and I’ve found it.

We stopped here on our way home from holidays in Kerry. What a little gem. Inside is lovely and quaint. The menu had something for everyone. We were two adults and two children. We had the bangers and mash, a roast chicken dinner, fish and chips and goujouns and chips. It was simple food done really well. Everything was fresh and so tasty. The service was excellent and the staff were so nice and genuinely friendly. It was also excellent value for money. The girls had two soft drinks and my husband had a bottle of cider and our bill was only €64.50. Will definitely be going back here the next time we are in Adare. We done The Arches.

If you are planning to visit a historical village Adare co. Limerick enjoy your lunch at The Arches restaurant on the main street. The staff will go an extra mile to make you feel welcome and at ease. It's not only a fresh local food, it's a fantastic experience of preserving history and local traditions. We are extremely grateful the chance brought us here and will remember these warm feelings long after our trip.

A gem of a place. Family owned and run for generations. The friendliest and most helpful service imaginable, with excellent food at very reasonable prices. We arrived in Adare on St Patrick's day and were looking for an evening meal. Bars were very busy and choices were limited, but The Arches accommodated us without any fuss. So glad they did. John and his front of house staff make everyone feel special. They're always busy but somehow find time to chat and ensure everything is just right. A great place run by a lovely family. One thing to note - since Covid the family have re-assessed how long they stay open in the evenings - so go early as it would be a shame to miss out on this place

We ate here twice during our stay in Adare, we enjoyed it so much. One of my sons was trying eating fish and chips at every restaurant we ate at, and he declared The Arches to have the best! I am also gluten free and was able to eat here. Great food and service!
