Arrived in very hungry for lunch having climbed Diamond Hill. My husband ordered the irish stew. I ordered a Cajun chicken burger with tikka masala sauce chips and salad . The Cajun chicken burger consisted of a processed burger from the freezer( probably Birds Eye) ...no sauce ...accompanied by a tiny bit of salad and chips. To have the audacity... More

We were in two minds about whether to go in as it was empty, but the special looked like good value, so swung the decision. We just had the special which was salmon with mash and vegetables and a house salad. We also had a quarter of wine and two coffees. The salmon, mash and vegetables were fine, but we... More

Went here for lunch. Lucky for us we were there for lunch. The poor Germans arriving 2 mins after us, and asked if they could have some coffee, were barked out of the door by the owner. Only lunch, no coffee... And that wasnt the only victim the owner made in the 30 mins we were at cullens. The poor... More

I had a lot of Irish lamb stews in different pubs and restaurant during my holiday. To my surprise, this bistro served the most tasty stew i had in 3 weeks. Better than all the pubs in Clifden, that's for sure! Not a lot of space, and only cash payment allowed.

Went for lunch with extended family; service from 1 lady was exceptional - calm, fast and no fuss. Food was good, hot and tasty. Lamb stew a bit watery but very tasty.

Good food served here but cramped layout and WHY is there still no credit card facility after all these years?

We arrived just after before 7pm and we had brought our own wine (there was no corkage charge which was a bonus). The young waitress was quite distant, and although not unfriendly, she wasn't welcoming (maybe a bit of a language barrier?). We had chicken wings to start which came with a lovely, fresh salad, followed by bbq ribs (a... More

This is pretty basic food but well cooked. The place is quaint and the owner was friendly. The Apple and cinnamon crumble was lovely.

This place seems a little like the 'Chatterbox Cafe' of Lake Wobegone fame. The menu is limited but diverse enough for a good meal. The dessert options are great. Service was good enough. The owner/chief cook (???) seems a bit like Dorothy of the Cafe - she wants to make you happy but this IS her place after all.
