The service is friendly, the menu excellent, the views fantastic, but above all the food is some of the best that I found in Ireland. An Asian twist to the menu, light, fresh and very good value.

We chose this lovely hotel and its restaurant for our last night in Ireland. We wanted to have a nice dinner (it was beautiful), and also somewhere warm and friendly to stay, and we were not disappointed. Delightful owner and staff too - thank you so much for everything.

I was taken here for my birthday in August, didn't know anything about the place but was greeted by a lovely long with a peat fore, before going upstairs to eat. We had a table in the window and although the views over the inlet of the Atlantic were good, they got better and better as the sun went down... More

We stayed in the hotel and ate in the restaurant on the second night. Appeared to be a lot of locals who were regulars there. A good sign! Fresh locally sourced fish and meat. Fish lovers well catered for, Vegetable and herb garden at back of the hotel supplied the greens. Really well prepared tasty food in a lovely room... More

Nice accommodation, but not a good view (rear view). Did not use the restaurant except for breakfast, which was good. Had a Guinness in the bar but couldn't decide if it was draught or from a can.

Rooms aren't deluxe but it's the feel that works, a family run business that makes you feel welcome!t

We recently stayed in the Ardagh Hotel and restaurant and it was most enjoyable. Dinner there is delicious and tasty - fine local food cooked to perfection and served with a smile (lobster is a speciality). Then the next morning you can eat your fill and more with the heartiest of breakfasts...again served by staff who are pleasant and obliging... More

The hotel, staff, position and the restaurant were superb for our two nights in September. It is rare for us to dine in the hotel restaurant both nights, but the lobster and other courses were great. So, lamb for my wife and black sole for me on the second. Highly recommended. Colin
