Visisted this pub on our last night in Clifden. The bar tender was friendly as were the locals. Got into a good conversation over a pint with one for the other patrons.

We were in Clifden for an afternoon and wanted to stop for a pint and a sandwich without a lot of fuss, tons of tourists, or gimmicky stuff that you'll see at a lot of pubs. This was the right choice. The bartender was friendly and fast, the food was tasty and fairly prices, and the place was clean with... More

We were in Clifden for a week, travelling around the Connemara area. We found ourselves in this wonderful bar every night !!! Fabulous atmosphere, wonderful staff and the friendliest of locals to chat to, add to that brilliant live real Irish music too. If you are in Clifden then your visit isn't complete without popping into this marvellous venue. Thoroughly... More

We came here for drinks and music, and what a blast we had! The locals were all so friendly...we had not even ordered and people were chatting up a storm! And the music was so fun. Two guys singing and playing and story-telling .. everything from U2 to James Taylor to old Irish ballads and pop songs...plus some bawdy sing... More

Meet one of our traveling companions who was engaged in conversation with a local man. We all had a pint and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Had a great time meeting different people 2 nights in a row. The staff helped me try out a variety of Irish Whiskeys. Really enjoyed the music. Good thing I didn't drive & used taxi.

8 people walk into a bar.... Not a joke. From the very first step in the door of Lowry's we were welcome as if we were locals. We were searching for lunch while visiting Clifden and came across Lowry's. The pub grub was excellent, soups were great, sandwiches and paninis were wonderful. The atmosphere was authentic and the staff very... More
