Staff are very accommodating and welcoming. Food portions are great and food is very tasty. There's quite a broad range of choice. Food is quite fast to come out. Its very homely and authentic with tree stumps going through the tables in the bar area. Great place to eat.!

We've been quite a few times over the last few months on several trips to Bantry and each time had an amazing meal with fresh fish & large portions! My 9 year old daughter ate an adult huge portion of salmon!! Staff very good. A bit more expensive but well worth it. Makes me hungry wring this!! 😏

Wandered into The Snug for some supper. No tables available, so we settled at the bar. We did end up at a table, but the proprietress seemed reluctant to give it to us despite it being late and the crowd thinning. The food was average with the exception of the potato leek soup (with brown bread, of course!) that was... More

Home cooked food, big portions. Good price. Cosy. We went as a party of 20 all visiting for a wedding. They were happy to take us all. I didn't know that the restaurant did specials so I can't comment on them but I have the deconstructed burger, it was 2 burgers! Good pub grub.

Was greeted with warmth and the food was excellent, the best beef dinner i have had in years if not the best ever. Bar staff were friendly and very professional. Loved the experience of dinning in the snug.

Popped in for a drink about 10 in the evening, very quiet and served by a bored staff member, shame as we would have stayed for more than one drink had we been made to feel welcome.

We traveled to Bantry specifically to eat at Fish Kitchen. When we arrived they had just closed for the break between lunch and dinner. Oh, I was so heartbroken. After walking down to the marina to see the colorful boats we asked a kind soul where we should eat. He referred us to The Snug. It was so warm and... More

Over the past few years we have had the pleasure to eat at 'The Snug' at least once on each of our annual visits to West Cork. This restaurant has all the ingredients to encourage repeat business (no wonder it is always so popular); there is always a great welcome upon arrival, the staff are consistently friendly and accommodating, the...
