Enjoyed the fresh-off-the-dock seafood and friendly staff. Very convenient to the quay and to the Dublin bus stop. Quick food service & tasty meal.

There is a wealth of decent fish restaurants in this area, so choosing one can be difficult. We finally settled on The Deep because of the awards displayed in the window and the seafood sharing platter. It's quite small but very clean and comfortable. The staff are brilliant, very friendly and chatty. They will accommodate large parties of people as... More

Looked for a suitable restaurant for 12 guests from different European countries and found a mid priced solution in Howth called Deep. We had a wonderful evening and even managed to celebrate the birthday of one of my guests which the restaurant handled with aplomb. The restaurant is located in the fishing port and caters for fish and meat lovers.... More

We were seated & served quite quickly which was commendable being as it was Saturday afternoon with fine weather. Service was very friendly, prices very reasonable. We chose a mixed seafood sharing platter that had all of the usual suspects (prawns, mussels, calamari, salmon & white fish). All was fresh & well cooked. The only slight downside for us was... Arrived here on a cold March Sunday morning to book a table for lunch. Asked to be seated away from the door as it was baltic! We ordered the sharing platter of prawns, squid, cod goujans & smoked salmon. My partner ordered the chef special which was a fish pot of mussels, clams & prawns. On the platter there was... More

We went for lunch to celebrate my mother's birthdays last January and I cannot recommend Deep enough. The food was fantastic, but what jumped out the most was the staff. Despite being extremely busy, the waiting staff made us feel like we were the only people there and went above and beyond for us. There were two children in our... More

A popular choice for weekend visitors and easy to understand why. Friendly serving staff who enjoy a chat, good value to found on the menu, and most importantly delicious flavours to back it all up. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Fish great. chips and wine were overpriced at 4.5 euro and 8.00 euro er glass. This is self -defeating. Being shown a table by the door in an empty restaurant does not seem a way of getting repeat business.

They've got a couple of rave reviews from newspapers displayed in their restaurant, but unfortunately I didn't note which papers they were. Their seafood was incredibly fresh, perhaps bought right off of the docks. We had incredible fried oysters and a hearty seafood chowder as appetizers, then an earlybird seafood special for two for dinner which included fishcakes, crawfish, mussels, Dublin Bay Prawns, squid, smoked salmon, and a small salad. Beautifully plated, amazingly delicious. I hope you're able to get more info because this place is not to be missed!
