5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed today NEW

The food is really good and the people serving have great commitment. Always busy. Keep to the fish which is their speciality. The wines are excellent. Cant find much fault, one of the best at the pier in Howth.

My husband and I recently had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We split the duck egg rolls and Fish and chips. My husband also tried the Deluxe Chowder. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Definitely advise to make a reservation as the restaurant seemed to fill up quickly after about noon. We were fortunate to get a... More

Lunch recently for 3 people in March. The place is very cosy and warm , great to escape the sea breeze. Two of us had the shared warm fish platter for two. There was also some smoked salmon on brown bread. This part was too small to be mentioned on the menu. The cod and Salmon provided was good. A... More

Busy week at work. Busy St Patrick's weekend. I remembered to book a table and that was just as well. Howth was heaving with the Dublin Bay Prawn festival. Anyway the food. I've long held the view that the chowder is one of THE best in the country. Once again the guys at The Monkey did not disappoint. Creamy seafood... More

Sadly I didn't have a reservation so I had to sit at the bar but Linguine with Dublin Bay Prawns and Mussels were nevertheless tasty. That portion came 20 Euros plus drink. Service okay.

Going to restaurant mean you pay not only for food, preparation, rent, their bills etc butl for service as well. When you're happy about service, you tip staff. Well, The Brass Monkey decided to CHARGE people 10% service fee, despite they already paid in price of the food. So wether you order dish for 5euro or 25euro, you must pay... More

This was our last few hours in Dublin before we headed back to London. A friend recommended howth and we weren't disappointed. I rarely do reviews, but felt abliged to rave about the incredible food and service at this lovely little restaurant. The chowder was fantastic and it was a perfect end to our little break. Thank you.
