Quaint little cafe, called in for tea and lemon meringue pie, what a treat.., we all love lemon meringue pie but this was the best yet and lucky for us they had 4 pieces left. I bought a homemade apple pie to bring home to my father and I have now been advised that this is amazing also. If you... More

On our recent stay in Ardara we ate at Sheila's on a few occasions. We received a warm welcome and the surroundings were cosy too on January days. Everything is freshly cooked with delicious home baking and portions are generous. We shall definitely be back on our next visit to Ardara!

We left Clonmany in the morning on our way to Sligo, stopping in Adara for lunch. What a find this place was! The best chowder we had on our trip, with the most tender and delicious wheaten bread on the side. I wish I had had room for dessert, because they looked superb.

We visited here twice during a recent stay near Ardara. First visit was for hot chocolates and coffee after a cold and damp walk on the beach. The restaurant was warm and cosy along with the welcome. We also had a slice of apple pie with cream and a mince pie.. Best I've ever tasted! The pastry just melted in... More

My dear Irish friend made this a must stop and I am grateful. We had scones and coffee...it was the best ever...freshly baked, as was many other items to select from.

Dropped in here for lunch, had gorgeous soup with home-baked brown bread, and a club sandwich. My partner had a chicken salad followed by lovely gluten-free cake!. A great place to drop in, either for a coffee and cake, a light snack or a more substantial lunch. The staff were friendly and polite, and its popular with locals. On the... More

We rented a house in Ardara and 4 of us wondered in the open door about 9-ish for breakfast only to find Sheila busy as a bee baking up a storm--she said 'we don't actually open for breakfast until 9:30"--we were disappointed and then she said 'but what would you like?" We ordered some of her wonderful scones, tea and... More

Our flat was just across the road, but we came back because the food was nice, the atmosphere of the place quaint and the service very friendly. We had breakfast there quite a few times and if the Café were open a bit later in the evening we would have had dinner there more often. Highly recommended.

You will not get a better Breakfast in Ardara, Friendly proficient staff, proper full Irish Breakfast at a very reasonable price. Far superior to the Nesbitt Arms Hotel Breakfast and served with a smile.
