We were passing through and stopped for lunch here. There was lots of options on the menu and they had daily specials too. We had the open crab sandwich and steak sandwich. Both were very good and very filling. The crab was beautifully flavoured and...More

We were sent by the folks at Monk's to Hyland's Pub to enjoy traditional Irish music. Musicians from all over Ireland and Wales were there. It was welcoming, upbeat, just a real fun place. Recently renovated, it was clean, well-painted, lots of wood, new candles,...More

The food was good and the staff was very friendly. The restaurants has a really good wine list with beautiful Shiraz. However the only negative was the small portion of the main course, but the delicious dessert was able to rectify this negative impression.

We stopped in after a long hike, asked to have tea by the fireplace in the lobby and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Very nice break in the afternoon.

Had dinner here one night. Great food in a pub with good atmosphere. Attentive staff and the barman even went out of his way in letting me sample different beers prior to ordering.

Called in here twice during our trip to ballyvaghen and we weren't disappointed on either visit! The staff, Chris in particular, were courteous and friendly on both occasions looking after us. The food was fantastic. Would highly recommend:)

We stopped here for a family birthday meal whilst staying nearby on holiday. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the area (Ireland is expensive in general). Lovely presentation of dishes. Friendly staff. The only thing stopping this being a 5-star review is the...More
