This is a gorgeous pub. Great Guinness, good wine, a roaring fire and nice staff. We visited on a cold night and this pub was a welcome haven.

This was nice enough/ok for food, quite acceptable. There is a nice enough bar area and an area with tables for food.

Quirky and olde world pub with nice crowd and a decent glass of wine, good service also at the bar even though it was packed

Literally just left, absolutely disgusted. Dropped in out of rain, twice asked for no ice in drinks, arrived with glasses half full with ice. Twice repeated no cheese on burger, arrived With cheese. Kids 'goujons & chips' was 1 & half skinny goujons & a handful of chips on a sideplate, the kids even remarked 'that's tiny' to which the... More

We came here at the end of July 2014. We had been staying in a lovely hotel near by and wanted to eat out. Our first impression of the pub is that it looked lovely and inviting with tables outside the front door. Upon entering we noticed that there was very few people on the premises which should have been... More

This pub is always busy, small but enjoyed by many. Didn't have food here but good atmosphere. Enjoyed by smokers with outdoor seating.
