The food was grand, we went for the mains only: curried crab claws and hake (with patatas bravas and chorizo). While the crab claws were delicious, I don't think it was amazing in a sense that it is easy to cook anyway: white rice, curry...More

This restaurant has certainly got it right in terms of presentation and quality. Although the menu didn't offer an extensive choice of Seafood, the fare was beautify cooked fresh produce. I would gladly recommend the Seafood Pie with fresh Salmon, Prawns and Haddock. The staff...More

We made the trip to Bandon especially to visit this restaurant by recommendation. We had the fish and chips followed by dessert. The food and service are spot on and we enjoyed the experience very much. Highly recommended.

Visited yesterday and ever since been dying to go back! Chowder was lovely and creamy, the butter presentation was a nice touch! Only downside was there was no specials available. Loved the sticky toffee pudding also!

I'm in two minds here on whether to slate or boast about this bar Restraunt. Visually very appealing yet the back room where we sat is lacking in atmosphere. It's a bit like sitting in a good quality works canteen. Service was spot on the...More

The Poachers isn’t cheap so the food should be excellent and quite simply it’s not. Basics like fish and chips should be perfect and they are not. Undercooked chips and fish that is either not fresh enough or badly cooked. I

This place is well worth a visit! I had Hake and it was a generous portion with spicy potatoes and chorizo. I had the pannacotta for dessert and it was light and refreshing. You might need to book beforehand if going in the evening as...More
