After being a little unwell du to a bit of food poisoning thought we would try a clean environment. Big Mistake. The fish they use is called Dory and enveloped in a greasy batter and fried in horrible oil. Chips were apparently made from potatoes...but didn't taste like it Started wit a couple of sops that were just about passable but I think prepared a long time in advance and then heated up again. My tomato soup was very strong and slightly burned tasting and you could almost stand the spoon up in it. As much ice cream as you like. I didn't like
My advise - give it a big missMore
My first visit here- i had set meal ( dinner) tonite. Took Mushroom Soup - comparatively the taste is much better than other similar joints. I chose as my main dish - ‘ Fillet of Fish -Grenobloise’. Can’t say that I enjoyed the fish -...it was very soft. I only finished half of it. The veggies at the side were good. Ice cream & hot green tea rounded up my meal. I would think the mushroom soup was the best portion of the meal. I will try another main dish for another time -eg chicken/ pasta- before i comment further on the main dishes. Ambience is nice. Service is pleasant. Better attention by the chef to the quality / choice of the fish fillet in my grenobloise main dish - would have madr my day.More
I been coming here for years the staff no me very well by my name.
The staff are so friendly and helpful.
I am a retired head chief and when I say the food is good it’s good I have never had a bad dish...or to that mater bad service.
I have read some of the reviews and the people that say it’s poor or worse well I would recommend they go to the ritz in London they will pay 50 times more for the same food and the service would be no better.
I WOULD RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO EAT HERE.
I would that the staff a another great yearMore
Set meal for only MR28 only. Soup or salad , main meal from the menu, drink and desert.. You will not leave hungry. Clean atmosphere. Located in Tesco Centre. Prompt service and friendly staff. Good quality food and big portions. You will love the mushroom...soup. Help your self to as much ice cream as you like
Otherwise you can order from the menu. Western style food for tourist and expatsMore
Food was bland & every sauce tasted similar for eg any Chicken Chops, Lamb Chops, Beef Steaks, grilled Fish. ... kinda one same sauce for every grilled dish.
Service by the three waiting ladies (eg Serene) are acceptable, prompt & polite but not with the...male supervisor who is perpetually rude, arrogant & with plastic-courtesy. Sauce is salty.
Even the greens of any grilled dish are all similar.
Creamy soups tasted like from the cans. Soup is salty.
Guess the chef behind the scene is either lazy or run out of ideas or restaurant budget is shoe-string tight.
Portion is huge & few flavours of ice-cream to choose is a plus point.
Ambience is ok, dim-lit & cosy.More
I was surprised when I went to Mizi’s at Tesco mall. What looks like kind of a mediocre mall restaurant actually has really nice western food! I usually avoid eating western food on my travels through Asia as I have had some truly icky experiences,...but I will totally vouch for this place.
In particular, I was impressed by the chicken cannelloni...the pasta was cooked perfectly and the cream sauce to die for. I have also tried the Cobb salad, and the sweet corn and veggie patties, and everything was really delicious. The portions at this bistro are huge, often more family style than individually sized.
I would totally recommend this place, as well as the tandoori restaurant next door.More
