The service was excellent but the food was average. The price was high for the location and quality.

My husband and I and our good friend booked a tour through the cruise line and the Black Orchid Resort was the the mid-way point of the tour. A well-maintained, clean, and peaceful stop to purchase lunch. The food was typical---burgers for the boys and I had their red beans and rice and jerk chicken. Decent and inexpensive with good... We had a nice lunch there as part of our cruise excursion. They had chicken hind quarters in a type of BBQ sauce, rice, beans or a hamburger and sides with a soda or beer for options. It was HOT inside with just fans and no AC in 102* heat. Folks were friendly and things were well kept.

Stopped here while on a cruise excursion. This was my 3rd time here. We had a choice of Belizian styled chicken with rice, beans and plantain or a hamburger meal. I had the chicken which tasted great and my friend had the hamburger and said it had good flavor. The people who work at this resort restaurant are very attentive and... More

Let me start by staying the stay at the Black Orchid was a 10/10! It was fabulous. The food was our least favorite during our 8 night adventure around Belize. It was overpriced, small portions, and average in taste. Our bill per night, with drinks, about $50-100 US per person. We felt hungry after leaving & snacked in our room.... More

Six of us enjoyed our first meal in Belize, a freshly prepared lunch of fresh fish, Belekin beer, and coffee. We stopped at The Black Orchid on the way to our lodge in The Bermudian Landing. It is very easy to find, coming from Phillip Goldson International Airport, and has a beautiful location on the Belize River. We saw humming... More

Excellent outdoors, very quiet and relaxing. A definite plus to take your mind off work. Food is prepared and served fresh. Fully equipped with outdoor pool, bar, spa, massage therapy. All quietly hidden and secluded and yet just a few hundred yards off the boom/ hattieville highway. I could not believe this gem of a place was so easily accesible.

Great Coconut curry chicken for dinner, love it, no other options in the general area to eat. Breakfast was just basic fruit and toast was perfect for us.

Having traveled across Belize for two weeks prior to staying at the Black Orchid resort, we were shocked by the prices they charge at their restaurant. This is a very simple restaurant, the ambiance is that of an older airport hotel.. and mains are $40-55. We ordered anyways as the next restaurant is in Ladyville, a 10min drive away. The... More

I really don't get the four stars..? The food was ok but seriously overpriced. I would happily pay 3-4$ for some rice and a chicken leg, but no! it's 16$ Can't recommend
