We booked here with a group of very good old friends. It is a great location, real oldie worldie pub with lovely helpful staff. BUT the only food without garlic was the fish and chips. To people in our group who were allergic to garlic this was a disastrous lunch and we will never visit this restaurant again

The food was amazing and locally sourced. The owner is lovely and so accommodating. We loved every course of our lunch and the scotch eggs are delicious. This was our second visit and will definitely be back. The pub has a lovely cosy feel to it and the garden is lovely. I can recommend highly the fish cake washed down... More

A lovely setting, and beautiful old building. Front house staff were great, very friendly and accommodating. Just one gripe, the cheeseboard, this was served with 3 different cheeses, all were mild and a bit tasteless, so a bit pricey at £8.50.

Great gastropub style menu but soooo pricey for what it is. The garden is great in the summer for families. It's nice to stop in for a coffee & to read the paper. I just wish they'd reconsider their price point, it does stop you visiting too frequently .... and it definitely shows as it's often empty. A missed trick.... More

I have just been to The Old House Inn with my partner and dog this weekend. It was supposed to be a country weekend away for my partners birthday. I planned Friday night at the Old House and Saturday night somewhere else.. Well, that didn't happen.. From the moment we walked in I felt in love with this beautiful place... More

Wasn't available, ordered burgers which were fab. Was taken back by the £9.55 for a large Pinot though. Had 1 drink and left didn't want to get an overdraft to stay for another

Very nice ambience, very good food, not too many choices but good quality, delicious Scotch Egg starter and Sticky Toffee Pudding with Salted Caramel Ice Cream. Excellent Service

Visited 12.30 for lunch after reading about two course set lunch on website. Arrived to deserted pub, no staff no customers. Waited 5 minutes before someone appeared. Sat at table and asked for set menu. Ordered drinks and decided what we wanted. Waitress came over and we expected to have our order taken, but no, she brusquely whisked away the... More
