Nice old pub with a good reputation for food; our "meaty" food was good but the garlic cheesy bread was very pappy and veggie wraps very poor - just the daily vegs. griddled with dry white wraps and the guacamole unrecognisable. The veggie risotto was dry.

Had a great evening meal here. Food is excellent. Really great pub. Extensive menu and good gluten free choices. Happily welcome children and dogs. Would definitely recommend a visit!

You need to book and parking can be a challenge but it's well worth it. Great roasts and a good looking menu - will definitely return to try out more of the menu. Dog & Children friendly too.

Visited with friends last Friday. Absolutely top class pub and restauarant. Excellent range of beers (Timmy Taylor Landlord my personal favourite), gins and wine list. The food was absolutely top class with a special mention to the house special fish pie. Strongly recommended

We were in Devon for a winter break and was looking for somewhere nice for Sunday lunch - The good old trusty TripAdvisor soon found us a good pub with great reviews, so we booked in a week in advance. The drive from where we were staying was short and we arrived to find a rather modern looking pub from... More

Dan and his crew do a top job running this quaint Devon pub. The food is always top notch and service is quick and reliable. One of my favourite local places to eat and drink with friends.

Popped in whilst driving through. Very pleased that we did. Onion soup and salt and pepper squid to start; both very good. Prawns with spaghetti and sausage and mash to follow. Both really good and generous portions. Vey likely to drop in again because the menu had other things that I'd like to try. Oh, and the service was perfect,... More
