We went to a wedding at Brown Sugar. The meal was fantastic and the function room was great. Staff were very good also.

We took interstate visitors to brown Sugar for dinner on a Friday night when Music in the Podium was on. We had window seats and our visitors were impressed by the view across the Lake. Main meals of Lamb and Beef were fabulous. Our waitress was bubbly and attentive.
Seafood platter for 2. The 4 fresh oysters were amazing 4 Kirkpatrick also. Unfortunately that's all. The Balmain bugs were tasteless and the Prawns actually tasted horrible and looked thawed and beaten. Calamari was tough as was the fish. Horrible and not worth anywhere near the price tag $140 I would expect it to be fresh. The fruit was the... More
I really think they should look at their menu - it was really hard to find something that we liked 100% - seemed there was always something we didn't like so much in every selection - maybe look on line before you go. I had a seafood thing - said Tempura prawns, Calamari and White Bait - yeah my mistake... More
My family visited for my wedding anniversary in Nov. Was easy booking and not busy at all. We got full service and staff were very kind. Kids meal came out first then our entree so we could enjoy our entree. When they serve our dinner, kids were offered ice cream/dessert so we could enjoy our dinner even. Perfect timing. We... More
We have dined at Brown Sugar a couple times a year for many years and have always found them to be consistently good. My dining experiences with this venue have been as couple (just for dinner through to special occasions), family get-togethers, business functions dinners, they never disappoint. Brown Sugar is the more formal sophisticated dining option of this area.... More
We went to Brown Sugar for our 40th wedding anniversary. The staff were attentive and very friendly. After reading some previous reviews we decided to try the seafood platter and were not disappointed. It was amazing. Usually when a seafood platter mentions hot and cold seafood, the hot is crumbed and deep fried however this was not the case. There... More
Went for lunch on New Year's Eve......had the light lunch...which is a main and a sweet.....the fritto misto and caesar salad....these were delicious and the service and the views were perfect. ..the cake was beautifully freh and again really enjoyable..mgreat value for koney and I would highly recommend. ..Brown Sugar is sweet!
Wedding anniversary dinner started well with seats overlooking the lake but became very chilly as the usual heat from the setting sun was hidden in thick cloud and the aircon was not adjusted to suit until we requested it. An hour and a half to receive our entree of natural oysters (served on a hot plate!) may not seem long... More

Can you please tell me about accessibility to this restaurant? Are there any steps/stairs into the restaurant? I've been told that there are & there is no lift. As I am on crutches I cannot manage stairs at all. Could you please confirm this for me please? Also, are you opened for lunch on Tuesday's?
