This is not just a visit to a restaurant , but a whole experience ! We booked on a windy evening as we wanted to try something new in this lovely area. Road to the tiny town is indeed a bit a search, and not easy to get rid of your car when you get there, but the town is... More

Our 4th visit to this unique location and we never fail to be impressed by the quality of the food. Owner Silvano's passionate descriptions reflect the love that goes into preparing these traditional tastes of the region's history. Whilst not necessarily advocating visiting while a magnitude 6.1 earthquake happens barely 15km away, it certainly didn't makes us think of leaving... More

Worth the trip and hike into this borgo. This is a true culinary experience, combined with history of food and culture. Don't be alarmed by the 12 courses, as portions are small, and due to the quality and cooking method not heavy. But an extra portion may be offered, right out of the cooking pan. Unforgettable experience

Our host told us we must try Il Picciolo despite the drive in to the hills at night, and he was right! It's was actually a very pretty drive and if I had more confidence in our directions I probably would have quite enjoyed it. The last little bit is actually quite tricky as there are no real signs and... More

The castle of Vestignano itself deserves a visit, merge with quiet atmosphere having a walk in lone narrow streets, then have dinner by mr. Silvano taking care that he himself will welcome you. It's a kind of histrion that will tell stories of the surroundings, showing photos and suggest very special and unusual food from peasants old traditions, each with... More

The owners of the house we are renting told us that Picciolo Di Rame was "not to be missed" Having spent three hours there this afternoon enjoying the 12 course tasting menu I can only endorse their comments. Real flavours of the local area including several recipes from the owners mother, together with excellent friendly informal service made for a... More

Everything about having dinner at Il Picciolo di Rame was unforgettable! Getting lost for over an hour still didn't ruin the experience that Silvano and his sous chefs have to offer! The venue was very special and the surprise menu was awesome - even the 3 legged chairs make for a really fun night! The place is not easy to... More

An experience everyone would enjoy! The owner and capable host is a veritable history professor with a great knowledge of the region and its culinary past and in this beautiful old converted "frantoio", you travel back to a simpler time with him enjoying dishes the contadini of centuries ago were preparing. 12 different small plates were served: 5 antipasti, 4... Location is special, but the food tops it! Only two choises of wine " red or white" but that doesn't matter. The food is enough - great - special and full of details shares by the owner. Open Summer and winter from 6 people minimum. And the price is a SHOCK, never have I eaten so much for so less... More

Dinner here is not just dinner, it's an experience. Silvano, the owner and head chef, personally comes out to explain all the dishes. With only 4 or 5 tables in the restaurant, it's a very intimate experience. The food is all traditional and micro-regional. He gives a little history of the recipes and the food is fantastic. The authenticity shines... More
