The website and signage suggest that this is a steak restaurant, but it is so much more than this. The food was excellent with a wide choice. My starter and mains were both from the specials menu - chorizo & scallops to start with, followed by pheasant ragu, both of which were delicious. Managed to find room for some chocolate... More

We travelled for one night to the Oak tree Inn with our dog Riley - what was really depressing was we only had booked for one night. The reception we received from Ryan and his team was first class. Their dog friendly room and bar area were superb. The room with stunning en-suite was one of the best we've ever... More

We stumbled upon The Oak Tree Inn without a reservation, it looked nice and we thought we would give it a go. We were slightly shocked that at 12.20pm on a wet Sunday they had to check if they could accommodate a couple of walk ins. We were accepted and seated in a very tastefully decorated dining area which is... More

The staff at this hotel were extremely helpful and very welcoming. The booking and checking in process was very easy. I had a tiresome long journey and arrived later than I expected yet they were not at all phased giving me assistance with my bags. Lovely room with a very comfortable bed. Immaculate bedding beautifully made up. the evening meal... More

We arrived at the Oak Tree we went through the the front as we thought that was the entrance for pub and restaurant. At no time did the bar staff if they could help, it took a while to realise there was another door for the restaurant. The restaurant was really nice the staff was extremely and helpful and the... Stayed for one night during the week and had a lovely room with great facilities including tea/fresh coffee, water, gowns and much more. Very friendly greeting and staff friendly throughout. Breakfast was included, lots of choice, freshly cooked and plentiful. Dinner was well priced, very good quality and great service. Wide selection of beers and wines at the bar, four... More

We stayed overnight and had an evening meal and breakfast and both were excellent. Our room was lovely with probably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. Nothing was to much trouble for the lovely team who work there and they worked incredibly hard to make our stay a good one. I would definitely recommend The Oak Tree both... More

We like to eat off plates, not chopping boards. Mine wobbled, which made it even more difficult. Worst of all, despite the statement on the website that "All our food is prepared to order so we strive to satisfy all dietary requirements", there wasn't a single vegan starter or main course (and the risotto marked vegetarian clearly wasn't because it...
