Excellent meal at The Druid Inn last night. Food expertly cooked and well presented. The staff worked hard too ensure all 19 members of the party were looked after. The meal was accompanied by some very good live music. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Nice country pub doing good home cooked food, interesting and different without getting carried away with fads and fashions. Very good beer, cosy with real fires and friendly welcoming staff, what's not to like?

We have stopped for lunch here a couple of times on our way home from the Peak District, the food is lovely and the staff are friendly and welcoming, the pub is dog friendly and allows dogs inside, we sat outside on our latest visit as one of our dogs is very nervous and doesn't enjoy being around a lot... We stopped here for lunch during a walk. We felt very welcome as we walked in and were very pleased we could bring our dog too. Sat next to 1 fo 2 roaring fires and had a great pub lunch and drink, even our dog got a biscuit. Lovely atmosphere, really fab pub, and Camra discount too, would definitely come... More

I would give more stars but as I only stopped off for a well deserved ale after a couple hours of pretending I was Spider-Man in the caves to the rear 4 stars will have to do! Nice little inn and lovely welcoming landlord/staff. Ideal for single people, couples, groups and families aswell as the dog. They seem to have... More

We had an excellent meal here and the local beer was very good. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A coal fire helped make the atmosphere very cosy too.

A very welcome find after a cold, snowy walk. Often pubs don't offer sandwiches on Sundays but we were able to have a very tasty sandwich with side salad and chips and a very nice pint of real ale. The open fires were much appreciated and the staff were friendly. A proper pub with plenty of parking.

Second time we have visited here and we love it. Arrived at 12 and found a table with no problem next to a roaring fire. The staff were very attentive to help. I have the mushrooms on toast to start which was hot, garlicky and gorgeous. I had the chicken and ham with blue cheese. Bit of a shame that... More

Found this place whilst driving round the Derbyshire countryside near Rowsley after visiting Haddon Hall. A fabulous olde world pub , although catering mainly for walkers and locals it offers a varied and interesting menu and a really friendly welcome. It was a cold Februaury day but a lovely open fire greeted us and a handful of walkers ,some with... More

A group of 16 of us called in for lunch midway through a walk. The beer was good, the food very good but at the top end in terms of price, service good but a bit slow. We were a big group but they were expecting us and we didn't insist on sitting together. Worth a call again. Dog and... More
